You could post your question in the Greece and France forums: it is possible that some forum members have travelled there with a group on the lines of what you are looking for.

In the sense of? This can go a few ways.

Most tours aimed at that age group are going to be singles. Unless it's a couples type tour. The problem is you might run into groups of friends.

A small group IMHO this is an even bigger risk.

I also think if you really want nine days in Paris that's going to be a challenge. It's an expensive city and most people in that age group aren't likely going to want to invest the time or money.

Nine days in Greece without island hopping? Do you mean just touring the mainland?

There is no rule forbidding discussions about escorted tour travels. Some solo travellers, particularly non drivers, or with disabilities, prefer escorted tours.

I think you are looking for something that doesn't exist.

You want your destination, your age group, your size of group, your interests. That isn't what a company can make money on. It's far too limited.

It may be possible to find tours run locally to your chosen destination for your interests but it wouldn't be limited to age or origin and not to singles.

Two bits of research to do is to look at history trips from museum/history/archeology groups. There are some nature trips associated with zoos and research so there may be something similar for history.

I'm surprised Leagle didn't mention this. In addition to searching here on the word singles (see search bar), there seems to be several posts in the Senior Travel forum which cater to group tours and excursions (not just for senior travel). Of course we can all debate whether the query fits better here or elsewhere, but we should be considerate and provide advice or refer the OP to a better place to find what they need, no matter our bias or opinion.

I think most of the tour groups, singles and general, on the Senior Travel Forum really will be too old for Lisa

GAdventures is the only escorted travel company I have any experience with and it might suit very well.

With the possible exception of Inside Japan (which of course won't do for Greece) most tour groups that I have come across in my own, solo, travels are very much "older".

A university extension course is probably a better place to find compatible singles than an escorted tour.

There are tour companies that cater to singles but they don't usually get very good reviews on this forum and I have no personal experience of them.

Thanks everyone for responses. I certainly was not trying to overstep this forum's guidelines. I thought "solo" meant single, but obviously not. I was looking, actually, for an organized singles group that might provide support for my son who has Asperger's and would need a trip that might help organize a group where people are trying to meet others. He's not interested in a partying/ClubMed experience. --if I was unclear it was because I was trying (too hard apparently) to be discrete. I will try GAdventure and history trips. Thank you.
