I got a link to rent a private house from a person. The link is connected to something that looks like TripAdvisor. The red flags are not only that you only can pay with bank transfer. But also the link that is a little like this: https://www.tripadvisor-id(numbers).auction(numbers).art/booking/VH(numbers)
Have anyone else seen anything like this? Or is it scam?

TripAdvisor’s management shutdown their vacation rental businesses, on November 1st, 2024 AND they never asked for payments via bank transfer.
Is it for a long-term rental? TA staff have previously posted the following caution:
“We do not work with any type of properties that require a lease.”
Either way 100% SCAM! Don't just walk away from that 'deal'...RUN!!

No this was for a short term, only 2 nights and they wanted a deposit as well…
Maybe is a red flag also?

2 nights would have been a "Vacation Rental" in TripAdvisor's parlance, which they no longer offer.
Asking for a deposit, in North America, is a common business practice.

TripAdvisor websites generally are at TripAdvisor.(domain). Any time you see a well known name appended with numbers or letters it is a Red Flag.
