International Airfare to Asia

Seems like prices spiked a bit last week after Middle East flare up.

I have been tracking pricing and it looked like 6-8 weeks was the sweet spot and I was thinking that mid May would be ideal booking time for end of June trip to Thailand. But now wondering if I should just grab some tickets before they continue to rise. Looks like they've already started to drop a bit since last week.

Thoughts.

Oddly they stayed static but maybe I live somewhere else.

Tracking prices is simply a headache that need not be. When you see fares you are OK with, buy the tickets and quit looking.

One other aspect to keep in mind, prices will continue to "rise" as you approach your flying date, simply because the cheaper fare buckets will sell out. Everyone assumes the fare went up when often it is that the cheap seats sold out.

#1 good point

OP get your crystal ball out will airlines keep prices high to cover their costs or will passengers stop booking because of the wars forcing airlines to reduce the prices to attract more passengers

I agree with #2 - Tracking prices is simply a headache that need not be. When you see fares you are OK with, buy the tickets and quit looking.

Also, as #1 says, it depends where you are flying from. Within Asia and from Australia flight prices have stayed steady?

Nope, we have no idea where they are travelling from and not having a location in their profile doesn’t even help us narrow this down. We aren’t even sure where they are going to, other than somewhere in Thailand
