It is a nice restaurant located in a hilly position not far from the toll booth, which can be reached after a very short climb. It has several rooms and a large garden, excellent for the summer. The extreme care is immediately evident: well-set tables, with the right distances. The menu is very interesting, the dishes well presented, the portions satisfying, almost abundant. The porcini soup and pappardelle are excellent. Also noteworthy are the preparations with quail, duck, roe deer, wild boar, porcini mushrooms... The service is very professional and attentive. The entrée was pleasant and the house panettone offered at the end was very welcome. Despite the large crowd, the background noise is absolutely acceptable. The bill is more than fair and proportionate to what is described: for a first course, a second course and a dessert, it costs around 50-60 euros, excluding bottles. Just one note: it would now be time to review the indication of the price range shown here. As a result of recent (unfortunately generalized) increases, 30-40 euros are not enough and are therefore misleading.

Restaurant located in a wonderful village that I love... Location nothing short of suggestive surrounded by olive trees and breathtaking views.. in love with the environment and professional staff courteous, kind, helpful... Service and dishes at the top even for those with celiac disease like me... Special attention for those suffering from this pathology and others related to intolerances and allergens as described by the menu .. This restaurant has remained in my heart and I express a sincere and affectionate thanks to the owners and all the staff

The first thing that strikes you is the spectacular view that can be enjoyed from the large outdoor area (a perfectly maintained garden with many trees). The second is the kindness and efficiency of the property and staff. An ultra-fast service makes up for some inaccuracies, which are promptly remedied. We had lunch on the beautiful terrace, in the shade of some olive trees, with a light breeze that made a truly welcoming environment even more pleasant. At the beginning we were a little disoriented in front of a menu full of tempting proposals, having to reluctantly choose some, leaving out others (which we intend to try in the future). After an appreciable welcome from the kitchen, we tasted some homemade tortellini with amazing black truffles, some truly excellent ravioli with herbs and some excellent tagliatelle with white ragu. The grilled fillet with Alta Badia cheese and black truffle is excellent. But the "fruit duck" alone is worth the trip. Good choice of desserts. Coffee accompanied by a taste of Giuggiolone, local focaccia flavored with jujube. What surprised us was the speed of service in a restaurant with so many seats (and at the same time the perfect cooking from a kitchen that is evidently a war machine). Obviously, you pay for quality, even if the prices, considering the quality of the raw materials, the level of the proposals and the efficiency of the kitchen team and the dining room staff, in the end, are not at all exaggerated. I would add that the restaurant park is also served by 2 charging stations for electric cars. And, certainly not least, those who work in this place deserve praise for their ability to do so with a smile on their faces even on a very busy day like today. Just one piece of advice: the wine list needs to be improved. In conclusion, having to give a vote, a ten and praise would be more than deserved!

I returned with friends after having been there several times. I had always enjoyed it very much, good food and a really nice summer garden, but this time they put us on the terrace overlooking the parking lot even though we had explicitly requested a table in the garden. Furthermore, all the meat dishes were tasteless and poor in side dishes. The suckling pig was served rare, claiming that it was so edible that we were forced to leave it there on the plate. Cured meats with a strange smell and tasteless duck.
Unfortunately it was a disappointment; For those prices you expect a lot more.

The place is incomparable: the attentive and welcoming service, the view that is created with the sunset is breathtaking and there is a great selection of wines
I was especially surprised by the extreme quality of the dishes we ordered, we noticed how the pasta is definitely homemade and how the flavors blend together creating so wonderful tastes. Recommendation tagliatelle with 2 flours or tortellini with truffles together with ham cooked in wine

Very nice place and welcoming dishes definitely good even if sometimes they do not respect what is written on the menu the cold cuts are large distribution seem those of the supermarket but sore note the service. Customers should be pampered the dishes told you do not leave them with the menu without having at least a chat. Maybe it was just a chance and we unfortunate will definitely come back to give it another chance

Wonderful location in that of ArquĂ Petrarca.... a breathtaking view..... and then the icing on the cake ... the Restaurant!
We were 5...... I had been recommended by a long-time friend ..... and being with colleagues in the area, I immediately thought... especially x curiosity to this beautiful place.
The choice from the first, second courses with side dishes of their production, to the various desserts ...... all washed down with wines .... with a list to envy to the most famous starred restaurants, has literally gassed .. to start with me .. all the company .. with a service starting from the owners and waiters , always with a smile, from applause !
Thank you very much,..... see you next ..

We chose this restaurant on the advice of some relatives to celebrate my son's birthday, we were very satisfied. The place is very nice, the attention of the staff is excellent, they are kind and helpful. We ate very well, the food was truly excellent and for all tastes. Among the guests we had a person with celiac disease who was able to choose various gluten free options.

Over the years I have left several positive reviews at this restaurant and I'm a little sorry to write this but for fairness I want to do it. Location always impeccable, lunch out at La Montanella is always a pleasure, panoramic views, greenery, a breath of air even in August. The menu is presented with the usual and excellent historical dishes and for the summer season is enriched with lighter and summer proposals. He ate well, both meat and fish. I in particular tasted the seared squid on carrot and ginger cream, excellent and the gnocchetti with clams, just as good. The wine list is always well stocked and with an eye to the territory. Let's get to the sore point: the service. Really not at the level of the usual restaurant standard, a series of trivial mistakes and not just at our table. We certainly happened on a no day, it was obvious to everyone but I think that consciously then we must behave: we apologize, we make a discount, we offer something. One thing is not acceptable to do and that is to ignore it. I will definitely return for the winter menu and hope to find the excellent service I have always found.

We were in ArquĂ Petrarca for about a week, and mostly ate right in town, but we thought we should at least try one of the highly rated restaurants just a few minutes drive from town, so we picked La Montanella. We were skeptical, since the restaurant seemed set up to deal with big weddings and other big events, but we were proved to be wrong. La Montanella was just great. It was a big place, sure, but the three of us felt very comfortable. The food was excellent, but the service really stood out...friendly, but very professional. We had a great meal, in all respects. The highlight of our trip to ArquĂ Petrarca.
When we arrived at 8:00 pm, the restaurant was mostly empty, but it started to fill up after 8:30 and people were still coming in at 10:00 pm.
Prices were very reasonable. €70/person for drinks, wine, 3 courses, etc.

I've wanted to get here to this restaurant for a long time, given my favorite place, ArquĂ Petrarca...
Here I am with the beautiful gift evening where I couldn't find any faults, everything as I imagined, friendliness and elegance in the service.
Delicious dishes with seasonal flavours.
A small Vignalta "red reserve", to best enjoy our ordered dishes.
It would be nice for me to return on a summer evening to enjoy the view outside, who knows.....

I was with my family for my shirts birthday.
We ordered some appetizers
Suppressed and ham, eggplant flan. Good.
Following we took their
Historic dish or risotto with quail. Amazing. We also had tortellini with black truffles. Also delicious because the pasta is all homemade. As a second course we chose to continue with their historic dishes, namely fruit duck and ham cooked in wine. Very good. We could not eat the dessert because we were full even if they enticed us since they were homemade. We'll be back.

Very well looked after and characteristic place in the beautiful ArquĂ Petrarca. but once this has been said, let's say that the rest doesn't work: inattentive service, long waiting times, extremely high prices.
Unfortunately on the hills this is a mos maiorum that seems to work, but customers do not suffer passively. Then the answers you receive are the icing on the cake.

Always wonderful experience at Montanella..
Environments with attention to the smallest details, kind and welcoming staff who manage to make you feel pampered and important at all times.
Impeccable mis en place, well-kept and well-spaced tables, fresh flowers to close a perfect room.
Varied and refined menu, right portions and refined plating.
An extensive wine list and, when in doubt, the staff knows how to suggest and pair each course with its wine.
Definitely good value for money.
Super recommended!!

Celebrating Michela’s birthday at the Restaurant la Montanella in Arqua Petrarca where my works were exhibited, was for us an exciting and highly rewarding experience. They made me discover that there are visionary restaurateurs like the Borin Family who manage this excellence of our Euganean Hills and has been able to create a formidable synergy between the art of food and hospitality.
The ability to enhance art in all its forms from tasty creative dishes to the exhibition of works, is certainly the best way to make it even more enjoyable to be at the table because even art is nourishment for the soul!
Thanks Francesca!
