Very friendly staff and big portions. Tasty local dishes for very good prices, much cheaper than nearby restaurants, even though quality is the same. The pasta with burned cheese is highly recommended.

The hotel where I stayed in Mani suggested this taverna. So I went for a dinner. It 's in a nice patio with several food shops, which gets crowdy in the night. The fava starter was nice, as also the fresh cut fried potatoes. The salad of Mani (Maniatiki) with cabbage, carrot, orange and syglino (a local ham) was very rich. The local sausage with orange and the fried lever with caramelised onions were delicious. For dessert we took the lemon pie, which was strange, but delicious. All portions were big, as I have seen reviews stating small portions. The local wine could be better. The service was fast and kind and I had a very nice time there. The prices are a bit higher than these you could expect for such a taverna, but Mani in general is expensive, so I can not say that it was very expensive there. So for my experience, I surely suggest this taverna.

We went there twice (during an one-week stay in Mani). In both cases we ordered different variations of pork-based dishes and salads. The food was excellent and the service friendly and very good.
During our recent stay in Greece (mainland and islands), this was by far the best food we had.

We had: tsaganaki in phyllo paste, mashed broad beans and omelets with smoked pork and tomato. Very fast service and kind enough. The broad bean purée, served hot, was really untasty and with very little condominento vegetables (fresh onion, capers, etc). The cheese was almost tasteless, but only "well packaged" in the phyllo paste sarcophagus ("kataifi dough") and the lemon sauce. The discreet omelet, but the "smoked pork" was intrusive and left no room for the tomato and sage announced on the menu.
The worst thing, however, was the bread, completely insubstantial, industrial white bread never crossed before in Greece, of such a cheap quality, toasted or rather partly charred.
Even the white wine of the house at Italian prices (4,5€ 25cl.) watered down, completely colorless and tasteless.
Total cost 30 € , with jelly offered, good.

Amazing local Greek food. The Kebab dish here is covered with an amazing tomato-tzatziki sauce that is to die for. Amazing pites, we had a daily special pita with tomato and feta which was absolutely incredible. Great prices in a beautiful spot in the town. Absolutely 100% recommend, I have been coming to Greece to see my family yearly and this is a quintessential Greek dining experience, can not recommend this place enough!

Unjustifiably expensive, very poor quality food...For example The pan with potatoes, the pork was very hard and tasteless, the fried potatoes due to the poor quality of oil were black, aesthetic and hard your shoe. The kebab was old and smelled. The portions were very small. The bars were standing like crows over us to pick up our dishes and let us go. Commonly spray, wipe, finished....

Very good restaurant in the heart of the picturesque town of Areopoli, serving both traditional Greek cuisine and more local specialties such as magne sausages. The portions are generous enough to work your digestive system and get a good night's sleep. Be careful, however, the waiters have the level of English of François Hollande, which does not make ordering easy for foreigners. The service is a little rude like in all Greek restaurants, almost making us miss our dear France.

We decided to try out this restaurant due to the cosy look of the terrace and the little side street with the colourful umbrellas. The staff was very friendly. We ordered some dishes from the recommendation menu. The food was fresh and tasted great. Portions were not as big as we were used to from the other traditional Greek restaurants, but we did not mind this. This way we could try out a new delicious dessert.

Carried away by some reviews we gave Poulos a try. Absolutely not worth going . Ordered cabbage and carrot salad, fava fried courgette and omelette with wild asparagus. Tiny portions, omelette was awful and asparagus must have been from last year. Paid 32 euros . Extremely expensive for the portions they serve as for quality TERRIBLE. Definitely do not recommend it.

We were a group of 7 persons and had lunch here. Our experience was more than satisfactory. The service was wonderful, the food just perfect and the prices were very reasonable. My wife and I really loved "tsouchti marakaronada", a local pasta dish with fried eggs on top. We would recommend to the place without hesitation.!

Classic tourist food. Nothing different. The staff was very kind, but the food didn't say anything. The Maniatiki Tsouchti pasta with two fried eggs came to us frozen!!! There was no local cuisine apart from spaghetti and smoked pork. In order not to do the shop a complete disservice, the majority in the center of Areopolis are like this. Only for tourists.

Great winery based on tradition! All the dishes are very well prepared, traditional with fresh ingredients reminiscent of traditional food. The sauteed mushrooms, the meatballs and for dessert, of course, the galaktoboureko are very worth it!! The staff is very kind, everyone is very helpful & finally the shop is very neat with nice Rebetika music!

We stopped for dinner in this taverna on a Monday night. Due to the weather we sat inside, tough there is a nice outside seating. Food was decent, service was prompt and friendly. Only the atmosphere inside was a bit dull and loud due to the tight space. I would imagine, that seating outside will be much more convenient. One of the better places to eat Greek food in Aeropolis.

Delicious food. in the main pedestrian street of Areopoli. True and not tourist cuisine. Large portions. Gentle and quick service. Reasonable prices. We got like a master yogurt, throat steaks and smoked steaks. Excellence and excellent service.

Loved the food and service. One of the best places to eat in Areopolis. Definitely recommended. The restaurant is popular so try to book if you are there during a busy season.
