I had a good experience with the food in this place, initially I was skeptical but they delivered what I liked the most from what I tried was: 1. the mushroom 2. the eggplant 3. the filet mignon 4. buñuelos I tried the be black...rice but I wasn't super impressed with it, maybe the other paellas are better I'd come back to eat in this place.More

Since we moved from Bogota to Chia, we have driven past a cosy looking restaurant (Tierra Roja) several times. We recently went there for dinner and we would like to share this experience. Tierra Roja is an excellent Spanish restaurant with a Colombian touch which...matches up very well with the best Spanish restaurants around the world. The kitchen uses only fresh and authentic ingredients and the cooking is done - almost home-made - upon ordering. Our experience was absolutely indescribable. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself makes the experience that much better. We feel comfortable, the people are lovely and make you feel home and tended to. Cesar, Chef and owner is a wonderful host and give an enthusiastic explanation about all the dishes on the menu. His creations as the traditional dishes are great, made with excellent ingredients and a touch of a master! He amazes us with a sequence of 7 tapas that built up in a crescendo of flavours and textures. And combined with a home-made excellent Sangria. It is a place worthy to drive especially to !! The place is cozy with an excellent service. Tapas are delicious but greatly overpriced. We tested 3 different rices, enjoying only the Paella Marinera. Desserts are good. They sell you an "experience", but I didn't find it outstanding compared with the competition. We were not...offered Spanish beer, which was disappointing. UPDATE: I originally said they hadn't Spanish beer. Owner responded to my original review telling that they actually do. When we asked for beer they only offered local and the menu does not show drinks, so keep that in mind when ordering.More

It took us much longr than expected to travel from Bogota to Chhia, so we arrived late for lunch. No problem at all ! The lady of the house brought us the menu and we ordered Spanish wine. After that the owner came by and...explained us what the various dishes meant, how they would be prepared and served. It was one big culinary party. The tapas were excellent and so were the paella’s. My wife and I both took 3 tapas and 1 paella, all different and all authentic, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. A must visit. In Chia ! We will be back for sure.More
