Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a smame this restaurant is only open at limited times, it's a great experience and for me was a total suprise. A flovour of Tunisian spice in the Indre. I got a warm reception and was offered the last table available as all others were booked. Initial impression was like an English pub with a great selection of beers at the bar and a warm welcome. There are tables inside and outside. Only Cous Cous is on the menu and it is superb. Served with Merguez saussages, slow cooked lamb, Chicken & vegetables there's more than one can eat. Ther desert was incredible and the price was very reasonable. I'd definitely recomend this restaurant - in the hope that it might open more frequently! My advice would be book early. The menu is limited but delicious. A great choice of wine & beer. A hidden gem in the heart of France!

Standard statement regarding this and all my reviews: I struggle with the Trip Advisor rating system because it does not provide a particularly granular method or any useful context for restaurant reviews (for example a 5 star review for a burger joint is very different to a 5 star review for a Michelin Starred establishment). In the context of a Bistro type establishment off a D road in a middle of the road town my view is as follows: Charming from the outside in a shabby chic kind of way and sitting alongside a quiet D road we thought we should have a look inside and investigate. There was no menu as such, simply a price for 4 courses, the Chef explained what was available that day and we were impressed enough by the interaction to book for us and 4 friends. We arrived and had drinks outside before heading into the restaurant to eat. A buffet starter was good but not great. For our main course we had bœuf bourguignon which was rich and beautifully cooked accompanied by delicious chipped potatoes. In addition we had spicy couscous with sausages and meatballs which was also very good. Both main courses were provided in serving dishes on the table from which we helped ourselves. We hardly had room for the Cheese and tart that were provided as additional courses. Wines were interesting, inexpensive and very drinkable. Prices were ridiculously low - the 4 course menu was €12.80, I do hope they put their prices up to something sustainable because this is a great way to experience rustic French food. PS If you are a dog lover the Chef and his wife have the most beautiful looking and even tempered Great Dane who pads about the exterior of the property!

Fantastic place to dine in the afternoon, good food, lots of choice, everything freshly made. Welcomed with open arms, very nice guy who likes to spoil you. Everything else was kept simple and simple, no fuss or haughty situations. Starter buffet, main dish, lettuce and cheese, dessert and drinks for less than 15 euros and everything top quality. Some can learn something from it...

Great night. Very nice home. A perfect dinner 👍 An excellent restaurant that we recommend. Even lost in the countryside: it is worth the detour. .
