One bite & I knew we needed to order another one because I no longer wanted to share. Hands down the most delicious burger we've ever had.

Our pilot told us that we had to visit Swallow, or our visit to the Barrier wasn't complete. So we stopped for lunch soon after landing and yep, he was right. Amazing burgers. We were in a group of 8 and the burgers were ready quick smart. We returned the following day for lunch as well. The only reason we resisted to return for the 3rd day was our plane home had a restricted payload capacity.

Today my wife and I dropped by for lunch. I had the burger with blue cheese and my wife had the swallow burger. The best we have had in a long time. (And way better than ferg-burger in Queenstown
I highly recommend. Even better with a beer in the sun

Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had prices are good for the Island as well. Definitely recommend. Lots of other good options aside from burgers on the menu too.

Stopped in for a late lunch! Highly recommended Swallow - best fish burger I've ever had! The freshest Gurnard, tasty fillings with a lightly spiced sauce!
We ordered 3 fish burgers, a Swallow Burger - which also was a huge hit! And the Beef, Bacon and Aioli!
So glad we found this GEM!
As per the previous review, I rate this Fish Burger over the Cod Burger at Fergburger!

4 of us came here for lunch and were stoked with our options. Burgers were great and considering there were just 2 people cooking/taking orders and prepping food, for how busy they were they were incredibly efficient. Prices are reasonable and there are so many great options the hardest part of choosing a burger. We had the a swallow, 2 fish, and a muscle burger. The fish burger was highly recommended and very fresh.

Stopped here on the way back to our accommodation and ordered 2 swallow burgers which said they came with jalapeño and pineapple but they came with a lot more than that - they were huge and stuffed full of deliciousness. Highly recommend a stop here if you are on the island and you’d like to try possibly one of the best burgers ever!

We recently stopped by for lunch at Swallow. They have a great selection of burgers and the boys loved their deep fried mussels! Would recommend, you wont come away feeling hungry!

Sadly it wasn,t caught on the Barrier but that is reality now that there seems to be no chance to buy fish caught on the Island ,the delightful young lady at swallow said it was gurnard flown in from Auckland really fresh .It was the best fish we have eaten in years ,They have great hamburgers too .Call there if you on the Barrier , Great little food place,

Check out this burger!! One happy husband😆 great burger flavours, cool place to hang out with the family and fill our tummies after a day at the beach. Yum little natural ice creams and iceblocks available too. Thanks for taking us there Micheal and Kenza x

Wow! Wow! Wow! We were told these burgers were amazing and we weren't sure it would live up to the hype but OMG IT DID. This was seriously the best burger I've ever had! The portions are huge and the ingredients are succulent and flavorful! It was like a gourmet meal! The portion sizes are massive. I could not finish my burger and fries and neither could my boyfriend, who normally eats every meal like he's been starved for days. Delicious! Lady serving was very rude, though, but the meal was incredible!

It would have to be the "Best" Hamburger I've ever had, the ingredients were great, the quantity and value for money was excellent. Only problem is that the menu is too large and it takes a long time to make up your mind which one to have. For a lighter meal I tried the mussel wrap on the 1st visit, it comes highly recommended.

Stunning gourmet burgers featuring local fare cooked to order and a very generous serve of tasty hot chips. There are a few picnic tables to eat at or takeaway to nearby Medlands beach where you can enjoy your food with a goregous view!
