Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was told by a local Fijian guide that this is the only Fijian owned restaurant in Sigatoka serving authentic Fijian cuisine. It's worth a try, especially the Ta Fish which said to be unique and normally consumed only by the Chief. It's kind of like...a stream fish topped up with raw coconut milk ("Miji"). Specially loving their "Sui & Moca" (beef + vege in soup) too! Price is pretty reasonable...More

Had been planning on having a meal here, very excited about the prospect as many friends had said it was great. Ask for transport from the resort, they told us it burnt down, didn't believe then so checked for ourselves. Its gone and may take...quite a while for them to get up and running again. I gave top scores but it wont make any difference. There are a few other options in the area.More

Passed the restaurant a few times during our travels to and from the resort. We were a little apprehensive going in as we couldn't see any staff but..... Went through to the main restaurant deck area and were greeted with a fantastic view and plenty...of seating. Staff were friendly and helpful (had a long chat with the chef who was struggling with the heat about Scotland) and the food was actually very, very good. Don't be put off, give it a go.... Will be heading back before we leave the island to try the lobster.. So watch this space....More

We usually pop in her for a light snack when travelling between Suva and Nadi. this time we only had ham and cheese toasties but it was absolutely fine. the views are tremendous - you can just lean on the balcony and enjoy watching ladies...fishing in the water and watching waves break on the reef.More

Tasty food, lovely surroundings, beautiful views across to the reef and beyond to the horizon. You might miss it as you drive past, but it's worth coming back for. This beachside restaurant provides a range of food from Fiji's main Fijian (iTaukei), Indian and Western...influences. The dining room is comfortable with lots of room between the tables, and the open sides provide an airy and well-ventilated space for enjoying your food. There is a little shop attached where you can look for touristy items and local craftwork.More

A chalk board menu and a great view of the Bay. My meal was really great, fish and chips...cooked golden brown so you know it was cooked in fresh oil, and the taste was great.

Took our family group of 8 people for dinner. Lovely relaxed friendly service, good food and views to die for! If you are looking for relief from the resort with some lovely family style service a wide range of food with many vegetarian options and...a great shop with local crafts then please visit Vilisite's. If you are a bit uptight and prefer your Pacific Island experiences to be just like a visit to your local shopping mall, probably best to stay in the resort. We loved it :-)More

We were recommended this little restaurant and enjoyed being the only diners on the night. Got to enjoy a whole fish in coconut milk and delicious. Also got to to spend the evening speaking to the owner and another local lady and enjoyed learning more...of their culture and local information.More

Our experience on both visits were wonderful. Browsed through their shop (locally made clothes are beautiful and good prices too) before settling down to enjoy the magnificent view. First dining experience was wonderful, served within very short time, and the chicken fried rice was delicious....Hubbie had fish and chips and said they were top notch. Second experience, was waited on by the owners children, beautiful manners, food again was wonderful. Ignore any reviews where the person expects the fast 2 minute service you get at McDonalds. This is not what Fiji is about. Rocky083 obviously was having a bad day and shouldn't have gotten out of bed.More

We were staying at the Warwick and got to know some of the locals at the huts / shops at the end of the beach. After doing the village tour through the locals, we used their taxi service to get out of the hotel and...try something different. I'm so glad we did. We were greeted by the hostess who was also being an impromptu babysitter for a family of diners with a wee baby in here arms, which was fabulous. The seafood was great and the fish and chips were really a generous serving. A great change from the hotel and very good value in comparison. Would really recommend to anyone staying nearby to go there. Remember, when visiting the Islands, it is done a little differently and at a different pace sometimes. This should be embraced and I would not not any of the less positive reviews put you off. Bula! :)More

We came across this place on our travels, the veranda is gorgeous with views right over the reef. Yes, it was quiet but our service was quick, the food came out extremely quickly and was tasty and we'll prepared. Anyone whinging about time and slow...service probably hasnt relaxed and got Fiji time down pat. Why the hurry? Where do you need to be? In saying that, again our service was beyond fast. Fiji is not a cosmopolitan city and I don't think people adjust their expectations enough. I recommend people come here and support local business, and you will get a great feed with attentive service. Any bad experience others have had was not experienced by us.More

We went to this place for dinner as it was close to our resort and Lonely Planet were moderately positive about it. Our big mistake was not leaving immediately. It was deserted - not a soul about and I am not only talking about guests....There seemed to be no one running the place. Finally we found someone to ask if they were open and took a seat. Ordered fish and chips and a beef curry. The cutlery was filthy. I am not usually too fussy because these things happen in even the best restaurants but it actually seemed like the spoons had been used and just placed back on the table. The fish was grey and weird tasting. The "curry" was strange and tasteless. When we went to leave we couldn't find anyone to pay. It is literally a ghost town. Apparently they just left our bill on the counter and left the building. Weird place and I would strongly suggest people avoid.More
