Great greek traditional tavern at the area of Karavostasi, next to Oitylo in Mani. THe owner a young man, Nikos, is very friendly and ready to explain and assist on the delicacies served. Calamari is a must!

Such an excellent little fish restaurant right on the water in this remote bay! We had one of the best fried calamari I've ever eaten and a fish caught directly by the owner who, together with his wife, made lovely hosts. Everything was so fresh and delicious and affordable. They threw in free Christmas treats and shots of mastic liqueur...we paid well more than they asked, and it was still too little!

Close to our resort, we found this restaurant, only one year existing. Kindest owner you can think of, is doing his utmost to prepare the best fish dishes. And he realizes this!! A restaurant with good vibes and this you feel. Fresh fish, caught by the owner itself! Try the fishplatter. You will not be disappointed.

It is difficult to find adequate words to describe the kind welcome, the goodness and abundance of the fish-based dishes and more and the typical Greek salads. A tray of fried calamari, one of marinated anchovies, a portion of grilled octopus, orange sausages, tztziki, potatoes and aubergine salad for everyone, jelly and a glass of mestica for 4 people: 68 euros. We didn't drink wine. Immaculate bathrooms. Impossible to expect more, great is the regret of having few opportunities to return.

I'm sorry to write an unflattering review, but so was our dinner. Poorly lit and poorly furnished courtyard; unsmiling and hasty waiters, I do not know if it is due to the fact that they struggled with the English language. Some dishes were not available but did not mention it immediately. I had fried squid, served without any side dishes (usually in Greece fish and meat are served with accompanying vegetables). Professionalism, respect for the customer. The owner really cares about the customers eating well and it shows in everything. And he's not bored, he's hungry. Fantastic tavern

A fantastic tavern in the area that is not a tourist trap. it feels good! The owner/waiter is adorable, the terrace is very pleasant, the dishes are undoubtedly homemade, the quantities are generous and the prices are very, very reasonable! The Dakos are huge so if you want to share and order just one, you'll get two on the plate. We made the mistake of ordering 2.... :-) The wonderful tzatziki and pita bread and the very simple grilled sardines but to die for. The boss offered us the second glass of wine, as well as dessert. There is another tavern on the road 100m ahead with the waiter who encourages you to park and puts a little pressure on us to sit down. We don't let you fool us and continue your journey to To Mikró Algéri!

Excellent restaurant that is definitely worth a visit while traveling in the Máni region! It has a great location, is very easy to reach, and finding a parking spot is simple. The menu is small but all simple traditional dishes are perfectly cooked. The staff is very friendly and professional at their job. The 'Shrimps Saganaki' was one of the best I've ever had!

The restaurant is great! First of all the space is safe for small children and they can move and play comfortably. The food is well cooked and tasty. Prices are affordable. Also the toilets are clean. But most of the staff are smiling, polite and willing to serve us. Thank you!

We were here for dinner twice. We had our accommodation a few meters away at the Elixierion Guesthouse (very, highly recommended). If you go from there to the restaurant you come halfway along a beautiful tavern right by the sea. Because of the unique location we were on the 1st Have dinner there. That was ok and relatively expensive. Very different at To Mikro Algeri. Here you do not sit so nicely but the food is clearly better and above all much cheaper. The seafood platter (sufficient as a small version for 2!!!) a dream. Service very friendly. On Feb. Day the meat plate eaten. It was good but couldn't get to the fish plate. So guys, have the courage to walk past the first beautiful tavern. It's worth it.

Located with a number of other restaurants in pleasant enough surroundings. Service was good and welcoming. We ordered the mixed seafood platter, which looked exactly like the TripAdvisor photo.
