The food was pub fare and not particularly good. They brew their own beer and that was also fairly average....not a lot of hops in their IPA

Great pub, fantastic food and great selection of drinks. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere great.
Great hidden gem just off the main drag. Went there twice in the last week on holiday, both times were great. Friendly staff, relaxed unpretentious atmosphere, great kai made with care (bonus points for the free range chicken) and very reasonable prices. Veg burger and...fish burger first night, optional (amazing) fat spud chips went down well too with the $22 platter of 6 taster beers we really enjoyed. And second time my partner and I shared a chicken pizza and chips for a quick early bite after a long day trip in the Abel Tasman. Both nights awesome, filling too! Good hidden gem.More
Great little bar, great hospitality, great staff and one word for the food - ‘Delicious’ So good that we’ve already decided to go back tomorrow night.
First experience of this restaurant, I wasn't sure what cider to have and host was happy to let me try a couple to help me choose. Food was served quickly, my chicken pizza with avocado was awesome and I had leftovers for lunch and tea...the next day my husband enjoyed his fish n lovely pottato chips and my son enjoyed his beef and cheese burger. I liked the small round tables - intimate but roomy for our family. Thanks team. MIchelleMore
This is a small town pub that serves food as an extra. A best the food was average. I’m being generous with 3 stars. Some might call it terrible and those who call it wonderful must have a vested interest. Personally I would have preferred...to save my money and have scrambled eggs at home And that is my reviewMore
The birthday girl had booked a table upstairs which was fantastic to sit around the table with a crisp wine & catch up. 4 of us ordered medium rib eye steak - there were 2 succulent pieces of steak, topped with mushrooms & onion, a...delightful salad, crispy fries and sauces on the side. Garlic bread was the best I’ve ever tasted. Thanks teamMore
I know that sounds extreme, but we have become tired of chips....fried fish...mashed potatoes...baked...fried.... little imagination..until we arrived at the sprig and fern! Was served a gorgeous, interesting, tasty, well presented main meal, and equally splendid desert, prepared by, we understand, a French, top standard...chef. This meal ticked all the boxes, and the owner was friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived!More
Made a family visit here and was most disappointed with the food, avoid this place of you want a pub fare. What topped it off is the poor attitude of the staff. When a complaint was made to the manager she shrugged it off, BAD...BAD BAD!More
We were told a usual pub meal, but I my God ,I had steak and my husband had fish and chips, it was such a large meal cost about $50 all up for both meals lots of a beautiful salad on the side and the...biggest chips yum yum, recommend to everyoneMore
