I’ve had dinner here twice now, and have not been disappointed. This is some of the best Indian food in Canberra, and should not be missed. The curries are full and flavoursome, with a variety of heat levels on offer. All the curries are made...fresh, and nothing is reheated or made in advance, so appreciate the wait and have a chat with those your dining with! The host is gracious and attentive, and we’ve always had a perfect meal here.More

We ordered chat papdi but they served palak pkoda, boiled potatoes, boiled chickpeas and sauce 😑. If you don’t have these recipes then plz don’t say wait for half an hour. Just say No. Just wastage of time and money 👎🏻

On the recommendation of a friend who regularly eats at Chalisa, four of us had dinner there on a recent Saturday night. We had pre-booked due to the limited seating under COVID restrictions. Great that the restaurant was not running two sittings for dinner -...we were free to stay as long as we wanted. We went with individual dishes to share, rather than a banquet. Naan bread, entrees, mains - everything was tasty. We were very happy with the menu choices too. Reasonably priced. BYO only $4.50 a bottle. Staff were attentive and dishes were quick to arrive. All in all, an excellent night out.More

I've eaten here a few times over the years. It's a decent Indian restaurant with good food and good service.

We ate here for the first time tonight and the food was EXCELLENT! We agreed it was the best Naan bread we’ve ever eaten and our curries were superb (Vindaloo and Madras). The servings were huge. We got a banquet which gave us a chance...to try some things we’d never had before, and it was really good value, the same cost as what we would have spent on fewer individual items. We chose this spot because we had a Red Energy Rewards voucher, but next time we will choose it just because it is the best! Highly recommended!More

We came across this restaurant by accident. We were scrolling through Indian places to order through and despite ordering an hour before closing time, our orders were rejected. Payments were deducted from our account but orders rejected...we have to wait up to 3 days before...the money will be refunded. HOWEVER!!! We made the decision to order with Chalisa and were not disappointed. Their service was fanfreakingtastic!! We received a call and message to confirm our order and the food we received was amazing!! I honestly wish we had have taken photos but all we have left is the order. We will definitely order our Indian food via here, we’re still salivating despite being full. Thanks for a yummy dinner ☺️☺️ Butter chicken Samosa Mango chutney Pappadums White riceMore

Just a qiuck dinner with a friend turned into a lovely evening. Wonderful, attentive staff in a well designed room with great table placement and music that didn't drown the conversation made for a great start. The food was simply wonderful and cooked to taste....I like authentic indian cuisine while my friend enjoys his a little less spicy. The meals were prepared to perfection. All this at a very good price.More

Great service, friendly staff, delicious food, reasonable prices. Butter chicken is sweeter than usual, but still tasty. Lamb Madras was amazeballs. Cheesy garlic naan is definitely a must
