Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love the open friendliness you receive from most Kiwis and the Pukeko Store folks rate very highly in this regard. I was buying to eat on the run but almost turned around and went back for another one...

Called in for morning coffee and cake, whilst passing through with our caravan. Friendly, welcoming staff, delicious coffee and the fruity scone was the best home baking I've tasted in a while.

Fantastic coffee- yummy sausage rolls and muffins. Toilets are sweet smelling and wonderfully clean. Perfect place to stop on a trip with stunning scenery and out door seating. Also a shop so top up on the basics!

We stopped for a coffee (which was good) and had the most divine raspberry white chocolate shortcake - it tasted like an old fashioned jelly tip. The staff were very friendly and professional so all in all this was a very nice break from driving.

Four points for the lilliput library by the front door, great fresh water, clean toilets, and a comfortable seating area. Food was average, service a little slow. But everyone cheerful and a good place to stop to stretch you legs and grab a pie.

I stopped in for lunch, not really expecting much, but had probably the best takeaway experience ever. The ham roll was so fresh and the salad ingredients tasted like the had just been picked and the dressing tasted homemade. The service was friendly and welcoming....I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are on a road trip along the Coast.More
