Excellent food in Mwanza

To all of you who enjoy an impressive variety or delicious food, personal service, great value, tantalising mocktails or a close up view of Lake Victoria while sipping on an exquisite shot of espresso or a generous cup of cappuccino, you absolutely have to try this little gem in the heart of Rock City. Mo & Pragz Kitchen ticks all the boxes and then some. Even when they cater for large parties they maintain the high high hospitality levels I have become so accustomed to. Eat in, take out or lunch boxes for our trip to the Serengeti, I have to admit we were very pleased every time. I know I must sound obsessed but if you are an incurable foodie like I am you will understand.

Marvelous in Mwanza

Coming from South Africa where one is spoilt for choice, We were relieved and equally amazed when we found the Marvel of Mwanza - Mo & Pragz Kitchen. A wide variety of exotic and delicious cuisine, serene location on the shores of Lake Victoria, professional, friendly and very accommodating owners, amazing value for money and "home away from home" atmosphere. Definitely recommended even for the most demanding foodie.

Amazing food and lovely hospitality

The restaurant is located in the yacht club which serves a good view while enjoying a meal, the food was amazing, it was warm and ready in 10 minutes. The host was quite informative on the nooks and crannies of Mwanza and the staff was delightful. I brought in my own water bottle and the server did not ask me to put it away but instead offered me a glass as well!!. we ordered a bunch of different dishes and were pleased with all of them to the maximum. my favorite were the wings and the fish & chips.

Best FOOD in MWANZA

The restaurant is inside Mwanza Yacht Club with plenty of parking, it has a casual vibe making it very easy to goto. Once you enter, you are greeted with a warm welcome. For casual dinning, the menu is extensive worthy of a 5 star restaurant. There is no specific cuisine, the family run restaurant caters many cuisines along with any special requests. There is so much variety from sea food to grilled food plus curries and local African dishes. On my last day i was treated to an amazing Chinese buffet plus the head chef and owner prepared a grilled lobster with butter garlic sauce, which was succulent and tasty. The food at Mo & Pragz Kitchen is second to non, there attention to flavours is outstanding. Serving from lunch through to dinner. Great place for snacks, a drink, a main meal or just for desert, they cater for all. Not only is their food great, they also serve deserts, milkshakes and a professional barista service for amazing coffee. Pragz will always be available to give you her recommendations and they are always amazing. Their moto really does come true when you go to their restaurant, you really are treated like family. If your in your hotel and feel like staying in, they also offer delivery service. Mo & Pragz Kitchen is the place to eat while in Mwanza, once you have been there you will not want to go anywhere else. Mo & Pragz also can help with your travel if you intend to go to the Serengeti and they dont even ask for any money. (Though i would always recommend leaving a good tip, as they really do go that extra mile) A personal thank you to Mo & Pragz for the best dinning experience in Mwanza, and having a good laugh with you both.

Best Restaurant in Africa!

This is one of the nicest restaurants I’ve come across on my travels. The food here is absolutely wonderful and very reasonably priced. They have a wide range from African, western, Chinese and Indian food. I recommend the Indian food, it was absolutely incredible! The service here is also excellent, the waiters and waitresses are very polite and we never had to wait long for our meals to come (we ate here 4 times in 3 days!) Also, it’s worth mentioning that the owners Mo & Pragz are so lovely. They are amazing hosts and make you feel right at home. I really think they make this place phenomenal. If you are in Mwanza for any time at all, I really recommend trying out this place!

Hands down the best in Mwanza

Tanzania is famous for it’s rich culture and especially food, but Mo and Pragz Kitchen is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been too. From its outstanding location at the Yacht club to the extremely accommodating service and especially it’s delicious food, this is definitely a front runner restaurant in Mwanza. The food is always fresh (especially the seafood) and packed with incredible and eclectic flavour. I absolutely MUST recommend this to anyone who is visiting Mwanza or just lives here because this is not a spot you want to miss!

Awesome food

We stayed a couple of days camping inside the yacht club and ate there a lot of times. The food was really good and they offer you a lot of options of different food from different countries. The price and waiting time was also absolutely fine.

The Perfect Hotpot in Mwanza

Brilliant dinner with a fun group of friends. Hotpot was so tasty and inviting. We started with a wonderful mix of veggies in the hotpot and then soaked in the chicken, beef and prawns. Really fun way to socialise with friends and have a blast. Mo & Pragz great company and really accommodating. Have also heard really good things about paneer samosas so maybe next time I will definitely drop by.

Great Food with beyond great service

The food here was great, it came out fast, at the same time, and hot, something we've yet to find in Mwanza. Plus Mo is super helpful to ExPats, he's been in Mwanza a long time and knows the ins and outs of the little things. It's a hidden gem, you'll have to go through the private looking Yacht Club door, but you don't have to be a member, and you'll find welcoming people happy to see you inside.

Excellent food - try chili garlic fish!

We’ve eaten there 3 times while in Mwanza. Their chili garlic fish the the best Chinese dish I’ve ever had, also Indian dishes are solid and beers cold. Lovely waterfront setting.

Very tasty food. We had Chinese lampchops, butter naan, crab and prawns.. steak..all very tasty... Afshin loved the food. Tried crispy prawns and chilly garlic prawns... Everything is amazing.

BEST STEAKS IN TOWN!

Mo&pragz have the best steaks in town. I’ve tried their sirloin, ribeye and T bone steak. All of them were very flavorful and were exactly how a perfect steak should be. Cooked to perfection. A bloody good one!

Coffee for the Connoisseur

If you are a coffee lover and love a variety of options then you have to spoil your taste buds and feed the need with a visit to my most favorite place in Rock City. Mo & Pragz Kitchen. A shot or 2 of espresso or any of the other coffee drinks while looking out over Majestic Lake Victoria has become my new addiction. If coffee is not your thing then you maybe interested in their delightful and refreshing range of Mojitos. It just keeps getting better and I ain't complaining. My bathroom scale maybe but not me.

First stop in Mwanza!

They have the best food in Mwanza! I would travel to Mwanza just to eat at Mo and Prags. Great location at the yacht club. They offer take-out, half-done snacks, and catering. They also make anything at your request Don’t forget to ask for their chicken poutine!

The best!

Visited this restaurant cause of a friends recommendation. Safe to say the food, atmosphere, hospitality, scenic view and cleanliness exceeded my expectations. The owner was kind enough to check in on us and recommended the best selling dishes. Their sea food was the best I’ve ever tried. Honestly, would recommend them 11/10. Definitely will come back next time I visit Mwanza.
