I would not recommended the place to those who comes for business visit and following a 5ight schedule.

Can't fulfill the service expectations. This restaurant is good for couple or friends to spend fun time but for serious people if needed real fast walking lynch or dinner is really a big problem. They can't keep the promise. I just requested for a portion of soup they can't make it within 36mimutes of time and Manager came to say sorry to buy little more time and I just walked out This is really pathetic. I must say that as per my last visit experience of staying in Malaika hotel in Mwanza is far better inwhen it comes to returant service.

Nice meal with great view.

Food was very tasty with good the fish we ate. Split one fish with an order of chips. Took about an hr but the waitress informed of that fact early on. Idea location to sit and enjoy a quiet hr away from the city. Cool breeze was great off the water.

Nice location but very average food

The place is truly very nice with a good view over the lake but the service is desperately slow and the food really average (although not bad), the meat was anything but tender and the fish a bit tasteless. Not too expensive too. So given the offer in town still a rather good place but maybe a better option would be to select Indian food as they also offer this.

Lovely location by lake Victoria. Staff very friendly with typical Tanzanian hospitality, managers knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions , go an extra mile to be helpful, owners are delightful. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Mwanza. Just perfect

The hotel staff were very nice, helpful and courteous. food was delicious in all restaurants although service was slow. seating overlooking the lake is awesome. The rooms are a bit run down. Require refurbishment and maintenance. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay:

I am so hungry. I am so hungry and I have been sitting in this restaurant for two hours and they have not given me food. I feel strong hatred for this place. I don’t even care if the food is good or not IM SO HUNGRY

Restaurant Tilapia is a very nice place for lunch and dinner. The menu is extensive and the sea food delicious. We had pizzas. You can enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Victoria from the restaurant.

I am visiting Mwanza for official business and stopped by hotel tilapia to catch a meal before i retire for the night. 1. Arrival- I arrived at 6:35pm and was first attended to(after calling out twice) at 7:15pm. Luckily i was answering my emails so i wasn't too bothered at first, since i had the distraction. 2. Service- The staff seemed bias-maybe because i was alone but that shouldn't matter as all guests should be treated equally. It started raining when no one bothered to move any of the guests. An Asian family was then moved upon request and still the staff did not take initiative to assist other guests. I moved my things myself and left my drink and ashtray and asked one of the waitresses to assist, but instead left my drink in the rain until i called out again and she came to me saying she forgot! *Sigh-i requested another drink. 3. Food- I had to again call out and inquire on when my order would be ready. From 8pm when i made my order to now 9:35pm ... the chicken wings were very basic with little to no marination flavor just coating. I had a few bites and requested for my bill. As i explained to them that i would need my company details written on the receipts they then said it was impossible as their system doesn't allow it so. They didn't know that a week ago my colleagues visited this very same restaurant and were issued with a receipt which had our company details. Anyways, they claimed that they had already printed the electronic receipts and couldn't revert. As the waiter tried to explain, an Asian slim/tall supervisor came through and i again tried to explain to him what was wrong but only made excuses and not apologetic but rather this is how our operations are kind of reasoning. My experience here was not pleasant at all. The staff are non-attentive and bias. The food(chicken wings) was very basic. The only upside was the venue and location. As an individual who works in the hospitality and tourism industry I am disappointed with the level of lack of professionalism portrayed by such a potential hotel. I hope management will look into this and train their staff efficiently.

Great any time of the day. Lots of Kingfishers if you are a birder. Great morning coffee, sunset cocktails, check out the old cars, motor cycle. The food is very good!
