We called in here and ordered our chicken and potatoes along with a Pork wrap dutifully and efficiently taken by a young man.
Then sat and watched as others cane and went as our meals were prepared. After the sad lunch earlier in the day this was heaven. We cut the wrap in half as well as the chicken and shared the result. My wife and I were delighted with our order and left replete and thoroughly satisfied. Thank you roast hut. đź‘Ť

This was a return visit and I was delighted to taste Roast Hut food once more. Had the roast beef, very well cooked and served with generous amount of gravy. and a selection of vegetables. There is a wide choice of meats and a vegetarian option.
Quick service, and a delight to find a family-run takeout business.
Reasonable prices and overall excellent value for money.
Premises easy to find on main highway.

3 stars because as with most fast, less expensive food spots in Te Awamutu, this has good basic food but zero ambiance. Don't plan on a sit down, fun, interesting evening out to dinner. Much better to just go in and take the food home. As roasts are not difficult to cook there's really not much to say except they serve as good helping for the cost and it tasted as it should.

The worst roast dinner I have ever brought, soggy roast veg, veg uncooked, never again, crackle over cooked and tasteless.

Must have been there on a bad day. Everything was cooked but was really tasteless. The gravy was very runny and little tasteless. As I said. Maybe just having a bad day.

Recommend! Great little toast shop run by a lovely family! Food is tasty, can’t fault anything I’ve had- pork, lamb & chicken is always tender and juicy, BEST potatos, and my partner likes the crumble. And then the service is good, lovely family run business. Always nice coming back and being remembered :)

This is a very clean fast food, I've been going on a weekly basis & have never once had a problem as i am OCD pain in the backside person.The moist lamb just falls of the shank and none off there meat is ever dry, As for the custard Apple crumble pudding it's just perfect. That's for good food & high standard of cleanliness..

The meals are great and always fresh. You can customise the meal to suit you and they also do takeaway meals. The only drawback is not enough crackle with the roast pork but you can buy more.

We have been going here for seven years and the food quality is always top notch. The Staff are always welcoming and smiling.
You can dine in. The puddings are very tempting as well.

My husband and I were coming here two times already. The roast is like we make at home! I had the small pork, which is coming with roast potato, kumara, pumpkin, veg and gravy and also a piece of crackling. This is for 9$! It is so delicious! My husband had the lamb shank which was falling off from the bones! Come and try if you miss home tastes and you want to have a quick service/take away!

Enjoyed the roast beef meal plenty of meat a little dry. Would have liked more gravy less potatoes and more vegetables. The salad menu is not value for money but is fresh
