Cosy and welcoming this little gem. Dog friendly meaning you can dine with your pooch, not get banished to the garden like others. Staff can’t do enough for you, food is really good, the locals are friendly and inclusive. We really felt part of the...community for the night. Will happily visit again.More

We were visiting the area and staying at the isolated Holiday Inn, who had run out of food, on the first night of 4, for our coach party. SO, we decided to eat out for the remainder of our stay. The Ring o Bells was...recommended by a few taxi drivers, but, sadly, we couldn't get a booking (they were fully booked on the nights we wanted - always a good sign!) until the last night of our stay and we had a very happy evening there. Phil welcomed us like regular customers and had noted my requested for a quiet corner (after having experience the Queen of Hearts at Runcorn a couple of nights beforehand and still staggering from the experience and the noise!!). We had a very good meal there, along with several drinks and had a good chat with Phil. The other staff were very friendly and helpful, too. I have to say that, were we locals, we would spend a lot of time in the Ring O Bells and are very happy to highly recommend it. A little sanctuary!More

What a welcoming pub and staff brilliant! Food fantastic … I had cheese and onion pie and hubby fish and chips. Wow 🤩 delicious and will be back very soon! We were on our way back home from a visit to Liverpool and stopped off...on the ‘off chance’ for a table and so glad we did! Pub was very busy but the staff offered us a nice table. Friendly staff make so much difference but homemade food make it even better!More

My family was seated and after placing our order it was over an hour before we got our maincourse. The food was excellent, however i kept having to walk to the bar to get more drinks and was told its table service so sit down...and someone will be over. very slow service and i had to ask at the bar for dessert as no staff were to be seen and this took a further 45 minutes to arrive. In total it was well over 2 hours for a main and dessert and we didnt want to wait any longer to get a coffee.More

Called in on our way from Wales, were very pleasantly surprised - great staff, we were made feel so welcome. Our dog was offered drink straight away which was great on such a hot day! The food was amazing, my parents had cod and the...portions (both small and large) were huge! My duck was amazing and my partner enjoyed his pie. We were very well looked after and would love to come there again! Very covid-safe, too.More

Visited this delightful pub and had dinner. I'm not a man of many words but the food was amazing. I had fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was outstanding in tempura batter as were the hand cup chips. Second to none was the...rib eye steak my partner consumed(cooked to perfection). Keep up the good work and thank you for your serviceMore
