We had two coffees, and two vegan cinnamon swirls - they were delicious! Delightful service from young woman in the outside cabin.
Ordered two takeaway vegan stir fries which were very good - had them for dinner later that day.
Very friendly service from the couple inside as well - so much yum food to choose from! Highly recommended.

What superb coffee , welcoming smile & soo helpful & friendly . Yummy food & bread to take away or eat there . It is situated on the main road opposite the Pohara camping ground , a great find , top service & great place to meat friends & go for a walk along the beach . Would Highly Recommend a fantastic find .

I always look forward to visiting this cafe when I'm in Takaka. They have a zillion teas and make them perfectly- you get a little timer so you know when to pour. Their baking is exquisite, with plenty of interesting gluten free options...including savoury as well as sweet. It was nice to be able to sit outside, too. A gentle, civilised atmosphere and the perfect place for a few moments retreat from the heat and busyness of town.

We're so glad Ute and Rolf have kept their business going albeit on a smaller scale. Their lovely range of tea is still there, great latte for my husband and all the usual European bakery goods and breads to choose from - yummy! The Honey and Walnut Slice and Nut Corners are a favourite. So handy to the beach and camping ground in Pohara. We'll be back again as soon as possible.

Discovered this place today. We just followed our noses! Food is delicious and well priced. Seemed to be mostly vegetarian. Vegan options. Java Lava Coffee beans used. Best coffee so far in Takaka. They've been here for 11 years! Wish I'd discovered them years ago. The pizza was so flavoursome. Plenty of space and seating. Did I mention the coffee? Worth the wait!

I thought the name was different but the location of this coffee stand is the same and appears open. The coffee here is delicious! Best coffee I have had in a long time.

top food - vegan, vegetarian snacks, wholemeal sourdow bread,
top coffee, top chocolate, normal and locally made shelby's spicey (my fav iced),
top location - 1 min to beach, nice to meet friends
top service - always with a friendly smile....

Went there for a coffee but had a delicious bowl of soup and instead. R had the coffee. Real home cooked soup. Cute things to buy there as well. I think it's a vegan restaurant but not sure. Worth a visit when in town. Service very good.

Lovely spot for a lunch or just tea & cake. Wide choice of teas. Good selection of gluten free & vege lunch / cake options. Friendly staff. Seating inside or on the covered deck. A group of friends with babies were sitting on the grassy area under a tree in the garden.
I enjoyed a pot of jasmine green tea and spinach quiche with salad.

We have been coming to the Takaka Infusion,Teahouse and Bakery over the past six years. It is our first port of call when we arrive back in Takaka on our holiday. We enjoying renewing our friendship with the owners of this welcoming cafe. The food is amazing, fresh, delicious and lovingly prepared. The environment is spotlessly clean which is a huge plus when you are eating out. Nothing is a bother with the staff, I like my soup and drinks hot and that is what I get. the Beetroot quiche and salad is a particular favourite, also the soup of the day with the yummy fresh whole meal toast. There is a delicious array of "raw" sweet treats to choose from, and a big selection of teas and coffee for the most discerning palate. The staff are friendly and welcoming to everyone who steps through the door. There are tables and chairs outside in the shade or in the warm sun and a lovely seating area inside where there is a range of mainly kitchen items for sale. We highly recommend the Takaka Infusion, Teahouse and Bakery.
