Delicious food and good service

Had a very delicious meal at this restaurant in downtown Minden. We ordered the jerk chicken skewers (spicy), spring rolls and pad Thai. Service was excellent. Nice location and view. Outdoor seating and limited indoor seating. Only complaint was that it smelled a little musty inside. Wish we had a chance to go back for another meal.

Minden Thai delights !

This was our third visit and each time we have something different. We’ve both been very impressed with the service and quality of the dishes. Everything is made to order fresh. Staff are friendly and eager to create a nice experience for all guests. Highly recommended. We will be back soon !

Cosy atmosphere by the Minden riverwalk. Ordered the beef red curry and the garlic tiger prawns. Approx C$22 per dish (pictured). Preferred the beef red curry. Old vinyls for sale at the entrance to the restaurant. Bought 1 for C$7.

Good food, expect to wait.

The food was good and what you’d expect from a small town restaurant. The service staff were great and very apologetic about the slow service. Here’s a tip. If you want your food faster, order one of the two most popular dishes - Pad Thai or Cashew Chicken. From what we understand, the kitchen looks at all orders and makes the most popular dishes first, then the second most popular, and so on. So if you’ve ordered less popular items like we did, other guests get their food before you, even if you ordered well ahead of them. Frustrating to watch when you’re still standing in line 30 minutes after they said it would be ready. Because of COVID, it’s takeout only, so call ahead and order.

Fantastic service atmosphere and mmmm the food!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars

Stopped in while in the area. Very casual and cheerful bustling ambiance. Started with amazing spring rolls. Then we ordered Pad Thai w chicken and shrimp. It was totally fantastic! Plenty of huge pieces of chicken and of shrimp. Tasty and wonderful. Portions are huge and I had a full dinner leftover for the next night. Definitely worth the drive. We will be back.

Delicious Thai Cuisine

The food here was so delicious! I had the pineapple curry with shrimp and chicken. I also tasted the shrimp and chicken teriyaki that my son ordered and the pad tai that my nephew had. All the dishes were so tasty! If I ever find myself in Minden again I will no doubt stop in for a meal. We ate lunch here and waitress was very friendly and efficient. I give it a 5*

Excellent Thai food at a reasonable price.

For years, the only Minden stop has been Tim's or a gas station. We were pleasantly surprised to find Suwan's by the river just beyond the Minden main street. We are most likely to have lunch there and buy one meal from the dinner menu and share it. Lots of food, its served hot, and reasonably priced.

Quick grab after work

I enjoy the chicken pad tai. I have never been let down at Suwan's. The portions are perfect. I recieved my order at takeout counter travelled the twenty minutes home where I enjoyed my pad tai hot. This is by far my favorite place for tai food..Excellent value and friendly staff. Thank you for once again providing a very enjoyable meal.

I checked their opening times on tripadvisor and their website. We drove 30km and when we got there there was a handwritten note on the door announcing that they were closed for 2 weeks. This notice should have been posted on their website.

Good Food - Lack of Respect for Customers

The food here is great. But if you are expecting to be treated like a customer and not a bother then forget it. First time I called, they picked up and asked me to hold. I holded for 15 minutes listening to the kitchen until someone realized the phone was off the hook and hung up on me. I drove in to place my order for pick up instead and got to wait 1.5h, zero apology for hanging up on me, instead I received a “we don’t pick up the phone”...but you did and then left me. I went back again tonight to order pick up for the family. Only to be told they were “too busy” while still accepting walk ins. This is a cottage community, it takes a significant amount of time to drive into town. The lady at the desk actually walked away from me, and treated me like I was crazy vocalizing that they’re respect for customers time and effort is lacking. Foods great, can’t handle the treatment of customers
