Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved this spot. We stayed across the street from here for a week and had dinner here 3 times including my wife’s birthday. The food is excellent and the service is even better! Vicky is wonderful. We got in late as they were closing and they kept the place open for us. Highly recommend the tuna or Doradas. Each day after hiking/wondering the island we would stop on our way to the apartment and Vicky would make us cappuccinos (con Baileys) put it on a tray and send us on our way.

This is a family-owned restaurant, very small, located on a quiet road with almost no traffic and overlooking a rocky beach and breaking waves. What a gorgeous view! You should of course eat on the rooftop terrace, reachable by a small spiral staircase. There are a lot of dishes in the menu, some of which are a bit weird for a place like this. Therefore, I recommend to go for a pasta dish as simple as possible. We had spaghetti with seafood which were delicious and cooked with fresh ingredients. Fair prices. The rooftop terrace, the sun and the views are best enjoyed in daytime.

Because this restaurant is close to the sea, it is believed that one can eat good fish here. Most of the fish is farmed and especially not from the area! The fish I ordered was expensive by local standards, a whole fish fried and then....cooked in the microwave. Clearly visible in the soft skin. In short, a real tourist trap with mediocre quality. (In my opinion as a chef)

We ate the first day we arrived, the service is very close and attentive but the food is not up to what was minimally expected, we paid €56 for two people. Low quality raw materials in the preparation of dishes. Used oils, of very low quality sold and offered as olive oil without being so. Tasteless octopus, this usually happens after it has been cooked for a long time and kept refrigerated or frozen, which had caused a very notable modification in flavor and texture. Lack of cleanliness in the seasoning tanks as well as the fact that what they contained did not correspond to the label (product dispensing bottles that could be refilled), extra virgin olive oil contained sunflower oil or similar of very low quality. When we mentioned it, they immediately changed them to sealed single doses. Tasteless grilled tuna (main course), undercooked despite being quite thin fillets, there was also a characteristic flavor of cooking with sunflower oil or similar, low quality oils to use on the grill. This dish came in with all the fish uneaten, the lady said that she would modify the price on the bill, charging €12 for the dish while its price on the menu was €15. At no time was it asked not to charge or to lower the price. The lady asked how everything was very kindly, what was stated here was explained to her since when offering us the food she exclusively informed us that everything is fresh, local and using extra virgin olive oil. What was served does not meet the offer so I feel that I have been deceived, it is not about paying less, I simply want to have the possibility of choosing without deception, as well as paying the price I have. We will not repeat nor recommend to anyone looking to eat with transparency and having the possibility of choosing. Information is the only thing that allows you to choose. I am not attaching photos because I did not take any, the quality of a dish is not always related to its appearance in a photo. Know what you eat and choose if it suits you!

During our stay we have been 3 (!) times in this restaurant. Just because we love fish and this is the perfect place for fish and sea food. It is a simple restaurant with the food just prepared in a "no fancy" stile. You choose from some some regular dishes or the fish of the day. Simple, but extremely authentic and good. The owner, Vicky, is also very charming and helpful. The perfect place! And - if you do not like fish - well, we did not try, but there is certainly also something delicious for you... Note: it is small - so book in advance to get a table!

A top restaurant with top service by Vicky. She is always ready to answer all your questions with the same enthusiasm and friendliness. The food is fresh and delicious. It's very cozy there. We ate there 5 times when we were on La Gomera for a week, we were staying within walking distance. Simply great!!!

Down by a bend of the road overlooking the beach and the sea lies an old lighthouse turned into a restaurant, simple and unpretentious furnished. Seating 9 small tables ... but included a magnificent atmosphere, splendid service, beautiful women and a wonderful set up of food. What more can a man want?

We had dinner here twice during our week in Hermigua and it was excellent both times. Vicki is so friendly and the food was very good. The dishes are mainly traditional Canarian ones with lots of fish. Well worth a visit

A lovely small, friendly, fish restaurant located next to the beach. Great service, and great value. I had the anchovies starter €6 and fish of the day - tuna €20, best tuna I've had.

This was a recommendation in the Rough Guide travel guide to Tenerife and La Gomera. It didn't disappoint. We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we walked in the door. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was homemade and delicious. We had the local spicy cheese, anchovies and bread as starters. The main course we had garlic King prawns and a couple of specials. All very tasty. The food was good and the service was excellent.

Good service, they served us nicely. We ordered fresh tuna and it was very good. A nice salad, nice crumpled potatoes and a nice dessert from the house. I do not give it the 5 stars because the price was a bit expensive, although in La Gomera it is normal.

We have chosen this restaurant because of the high note on trip adviser. Food was good but prices are really too high. So many restaurants in the region with the same quality of food for less prices.
