I’ve visited all the Canary Islands except La Palma and El Hierro, and the best meal I’ve had during these six months was in this restaurant. We absolutely loved it! The salmon and chicken we had, and especially the sauce in both meals was incredibly delicious. Highly recommended!

Visited this restaurant three times and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly service and exceptional food each visit. We tried the main courses and experimented with having several starters as tapas. Every dish is well presented with local ingredients and flavoursome.

Some very good food - we chose

Some very good food - we chose the salad with avocado and salmon which was very good, and the spiced meat with papas Freitas which lacked originality and was not the best choice. We had excellent desserts: chocolat cake with orange and the ice cream of the house. Very nice service. We want to go back and try some of the other dishes.

Excelent!!!

We came in a hot sunny day. The terrace atmosphere was amazing! We ate tropical salad, eggplant with honey and local style tuna. Everything was perfect, including the service!! I highly recommend this place!!!

Lovely seafood paella. We pre-ordered a seafood paella which was excellent. We also had decent starters: a rather nice goats cheese with peppers dish, and an interesting fried aubergine dish which was light and delicious

Nice ambience and delicious food

Nice restaurant with a very nice terrace, friendly service and great food. The pork medallions with pepper sauce and side dishes were top notch and the salad with bacalao was a fresh treat with a great dressing. The prices are in the middle range, only the bread with mojo (4.50) we found a bit excessive.

Terrace and unbeatable views

Since we took a sunny day we chose the terrace and the place is beautiful. The waiters were super pleasant, even though it was Holy Thursday and they told us they were short on staff, they treated us very well. Furthermore, everything we ordered was delicious so we made a note of it for our next visit to La Gomera because we will repeat.

Friendly and buzzy but make sure you choose the right dish

The first night we had the tuna with Canarian potaoes and "fiesta style pork" dishes both of which were pretty plain. However, the paella we shared the following night was the best meal of our week-long walking tour. Excellent value both nights at around €40 for the two of us including desserts and drinks. The staff are friendly and the place has a buzz that you certainly won't find on the streets of the very quiet village. There are few places to eat in the centre so make sure you book. It opens at 6.30pm.

An excellent restaurant

We ate here twice during our six days in Hermigua and both times it was amazing. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is very good. I loved the aubergine with palm honey and had it on both visits ( I very rarely have the same dish twice as I like to try different things) which shows how much I enjoyed it!

As a "place setting" I would have expected three kinds of "mojo" in a Canarian restaurant - rojo, verde and ajo. Plus plenty of pastries. What came was a small, rock-hard roll that was baked too hot with a little butter... They could have also been a bit more generous with the side dish for the fish fillet. A medium-sized potato cut into slices is simply not enough. The fish fillet itself was very good - unfortunately also not enough. Overall impression: It seems a bit classy for local standards, but doesn't quite go that far...

Hello Helmut, thank you for visiting us. We are sorry that you did not leave satisfied. When this happens we are left with a bad taste in our mouths. We always want to please our clients and in this case we are sorry that it was not like that. We will take note of all your considerations to improve. We would like to clarify some details in case in the future you decide to give us another opportunity. Our cuisine is international style. We have touches of local gastronomy but also dishes from different styles from around the world adapted to our philosophy. As a restaurant located in the Canary Islands we have mojo available to our customers but on demand. With bread we prefer to offer butter as a basic option because most customers prefer it. We are sorry that the bread did not arrive in optimal condition. This is a mistake and should not happen. The usual garnish for fish is a little salad and several wrinkled potatoes. In your case we hope that even if you received few wrinkled potatoes (this must be another mistake) you would receive the salad. We apologize again and we hope you will forgive us for our mistakes so we can return in the future. Regards;

Possibly one of the best restaurants on La Gomera.

We find the food at Tasca Telemaco fabulous, including inventive tapas, generous in size and superb salads combining an eclectic mix of ingredients. A roof top, albeit first floor large outside seating area with great views and numerous white tables and chairs, and more than enough sun umbrellas when needed. Combine this with friendly efficient service and fair prices, this is a must for us whenever on the island. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ok food but not sure why this restaurant is number 1 on TP when there are better nearby

Ok food but not special. Much of it felt like it had been pre cooked and the finished ahead of serving judging by the speed it arrived and the absence of any visible work in the kitchen. The restaurant lacked any real warmth or atmosphere. The Thai omelette was the best dish we tried. The eggplant starter was also pretty good

Dinner in a special atmosphere

We went for dinner on the recommendation of a friend and really enjoyed the food. We didn't order too much because we had eaten a lot. Salmon and avocado salad and portion of cod peppers. All very good. The best is very attentive service and a very pleasant atmosphere with good music. We had a glass of dessert in a quiet area. Highly recommended

Canarian food in a pleasant atmosphere

Very nice place with nice decoration. The waiters are fast and friendly. Abundant and tasty dishes. We had the eggplants with honey sauce, the potatoes with almogrote, cod salad and tuna with mojo (for those who like spicy and spicy sauce). Chocolate cake dessert with orange. All very good. Glass of wine (2) and beer and water. All 61 euros.
