Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ordered our first delivery order ever which took 1:30 hours to arrive. driver apologised for the lateness of the order as he had been unable to find us. When opened unlabelled bag it was cold and not even our order.
Rung up which took 12 attempts to get through by which time we had attempted to warm up the food as obviously no good to anyone else and we were starving.
When eventually spoke to someone 2 hours after order placed, was instructed to return food and a new order would be delivered (would that be another 90 min wait?).
Asked for a refund instead and suggested that, in future, he labelled up the delivery bags to assist the driver in delivering the correct bags to right address. I was told not to tell him how to run his business as he had been running it for 30 years successfully.
Our first order will be our last. I cannot stand someone telling us we are wrong when everything they did could not have been more wrong. No customer service at all here, avoid making our mistake and go elsewhere 🙁

The main I had (Mixed Balti) was top quality, meat was good and the sauce taste was nice too. I also got a keema naan which was something I'd never had before and this was also of decent quality. A few other points away from the main dish though let this meal down for me. First of all the starter was of very poor quality, I ordered on-the-bone chicken tikka but it was basically a chunk of hard dry meat with no taste and no sauces offered to soften it at all. Secondly on the food side is that we had poppadoms at the start but they just brought out one tub of sauce rather than most curry places where you will get a pallet with maybe 3-4 different dips to try. Lastly a big aspect which you notice as soon as you walk through the door is the poor decor; the restaurant and also toilets could do with a bit of DIY. If I was judging just by the main course it would be a higher mark but these other aspects let it down a bit.

Went for a meal with friends for the first time here as it was recommended to us. Must say it was very traditional, the food was excellent and the staff were great. Will definitely be going back with family. Defo recommend.

The best traditional curry house in Shipley, just how curry houses used to be before trying to go upmarket and losing the plot.
It’s refreshingly good food cooked well and just how it should be!

Very traditional and selected spices makes it a very unique experience. The food is not only fresh but very well cooked. Meat, chicken, mince, spinach meat Masala and Biryani are just a few tasty dishes worth trying. You won’t be disappointed.

We always order from here, whether its takeaway or sitting in. The food is always brilliant, even at 2am on a Sunday morning.
However, always find one member of staff extremely hostile! Once told me i had lied about ordering boiled rice that they didn’t deliver

This used to be a regular of mine. I've since moved away, where the curry offerings are mediocre at best. I look forward to coming back to this area a couple of times a year for a proper Bradford curry.
There's a bit of an epidemic down south, that I cannot bear, and it's making curries sweet. WHY??? It's truly foul. I ordered a king prawn and spinach madras and aloo gobi on Friday night. The aloo gobi was inedible it was so sweet. It took a while for my palate to pick up that the prawn and spinach was too- just not quite as bad.
I nearly cried I was so disappointed- you might think this is a disproportionate reaction but let me tell you down south where they couldn't cook a curry to save their life and £2.50 per chapatti (another story) I crave a proper ghee soaked, dry curry that I grew up eating.
Am I searching for a unicorn? Do they even exist anymore or is this it now?
Please step away from the sugar- there's no call for it!

Visited late last night with friends.
Restaurant was full and we hadn’t booked, but told we could wait for a table. Sat there for ages and were ignored. We had to prompt them that there were empty tables but still took a while to finally get a table. Sat in the table in the window but it was very cold and draughty so had to eat with our coats on.
Food was ok but the service was poor. But it was cheap, so you get what you pay for I suppose.

Me and a group of friends went in for dinner last night.
Starters went well, but, 7 of the 8 of us were served curries, and 1 member of the party wasnt. We asked where the curry was, and the waiter literally spun around and grabbed a curry from the lads on the table behind us to serve to her. I told them that no, we wouldnt accept that, and to make a fresh curry, this lad had taken a bite.
They took it into the kitchen and brought it back out 2 minutes later with chapattis (the girl had ordered a garlic naan).
When i said 'i hope you're taking that off the bill' they got aggressive with me, and told me to shut up and f**k off, as it wasn't my dish they wouldnt speak to me. The girl was a member of my party and who choses to speak on her behalf is not up to the restaurant.
The bearded bloke on the till got up in my face and told me to f**k off a further 3 times before another colleague told him it was fine and to comp the meal.
I'm perfectly fair in saying you shouldnt try serving someone partially eaten food, and then kick off when they complain.
Will not be back.

Been visiting here for over ten years sometimes eat in sometimes takeaway but regardless the food is always top notch.
Meat samosas are very good as is massala fish starter. My favourite mains are meat dopiaza and chicken jalfrezi but imo you can't go wrong at this place whatever you pick.
Called in tonight and picked up a take out staff friendly and obliging as usual food superb and very good value for money.
One of the best Curry house's in Bradford area if you like no frills quality food and a clean and comfortable restaurant. Highly recommended.

Just had a curry delivered for myself and my husband. It was disgusting. Tasted like bovril. Was ment to be chicken tikka masala and a chicken tikka madras. Have been going here for years but never again. A real let down.
