It was our second trip to Tuscany and we couldn't miss to eat over La Locanda di Pietracupa, as we stayed in San Donato. Amazing pasta and lovely location!

The we had was nothing short of excellent, exceeded expectations and some. Mushroom risotto was to die for and the guinea fowl with Sauterne sauce was exceptional.

Came here for lunch and while their credit card machines were down the food was worth the slight head ache.

Lovely place just off the main road. Seating outside - generaly booked up so you have to reserve. Great grilled T-Bone steak (bistecca) sold by weight at 50 Euros/kg - 1.2-1.4 kg enough for 3-4 people. Staff friendly, speak reasonable English.

I've just returned from three weeks in Europe and this was by far the best meal we ate. The pizza for entrée was divine and the ragu for main, superb. Gorgeous setting overlooking Tuscan hills. A must for anyone in the region, I wish I...More
