Went here and had some food. Although the food is pretty good... It is rather expensive. Doesn't have the same ambience that it had prior to the fire.

We had to ask around to check which cafe this was having read the reviews - it is now in new built premises in middle of the small town, with branding “Goody Goody” as well. It’s a light airy space with outdoor seating at the...front (not sure about the back..) Nice small selection of options in cabinet (and nice menu options). I had a tasty Mac and cheese with nice ham and leek with it, and husband had a tasty toasted sandwich - coffees were good, and service was friendly. (Would love to see a bit more development of the branding or character of the cafe so it’s clearly named and the name makes sense - just my personal opinion but I’d lose the Goody Goody idea!)More
Just stopped for a quick bite while on my way to Auckland. Ham and cheese sandwich is lovely and large! Coffee is good and service comes with a smile.
As someone with a dairy allergy it is not often that I feel both welcome and catered for in a cafe, especially small town ones. I felt both here. This cafe was so amazingly friendly and offered me plenty of choices. The food all looked...amazing. I had the most delightful iced coffee and will definitely be back.More
Stopped here for lunch. Not a wide menu but there was enough to chose something to suit everyone. We had a one year old and a three year old with us (they had mac and cheese special) and it was lovely to get a booth/separate...room where you felt like you could sit and contain them without causing to much disturbance to other diners. Food was tasty, good quality, nicely presented and good portion sizesMore
We stopped for lunch en route to Auckland and it was well worth it. Friendly staff, good choices for food and drink and child friendly. I had the toasted BLT with egg which was a lot of eating but very enjoyable. Outside or inside seating.
We always take a detour to Waipu when going up north or coming back to have lunch at this great little cafe. It still has a great atmosphere despite being in temporary premises after a fire in their other spot across the road. It's a...cute cottage and outdoor seating out back. The food is so fresh, local, and innovative I always enjoy the selection on offer. Excellent coffee too! The staff really make the complete experience as they are so welcoming and friendly with a local vibe and good sense of humour. We look forward to visiting their new premises opening at the end of the year.More
What luck we happened upon this cute little place. Lots of locals so thought it must be good. Friendly staff and food fantastic.
... for several reasons. First the young staff are delightful; friendly, proactive, attentive, courteous and have a great sense of humour. They managed to teach us Brits how to pronounce Latte correctly (Laaaahtay apparently!). Second the quality of the coffee and the snacks is very...high - awesome in fact. Third, the decor and atmosphere is tasteful, relaxing and unpretentious. This is just the sort of quality stop off for coffee we love to stumble upon when in New Zealand. Unreservedly recommended. We will certainly be back when next in Waipu.More
Called in mid-week for coffee and snack. Staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Late in the afternoon when we arrived so available food limited but good coffee. No pressure to leave and very relaxed. Hot day so a little more shade put the back...would have been handy but definitely not a complaint.More
