Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

the male bartender had charged my husband a different price for two beers not knowing his next customer was my husband and my friend who like me is Bajan born and raised in Barbados had asked for the same beers and got a cheaper price....Both my husband and our friend confronted the bartender on why he thought it was a good idea to rip off my husband.. Of course the bartender was embarrassed and weird thing is they closed up shop after the incident.. I guess trying to save face Won't be going to caboose ever again. This happened on Wednesday May 15th 2024 .More

Excellent cutters and ice cold beer under a tree yards from the sea. We had been advised to eat here on a previous trip and this time took the time to stop. Friendly staff offering the most delicious cutters served in the shade of trees...across the road from the sea. Fresh ingredients and ice cold drinks with a chilled out vibe make this an excellent place to spend a little time.More

Try and get to the Caboose around 11.am and go for a swim in the stunning beach. There is some shady spots on the beach to relax in. When you are done walk over to the Caboose. Old outdoor furniture, lots of shade and very...chill music. Grab a beer, relax then go and try a fish slider with all 3 sauces. A gemMore

The owner is arrogant, obnoxious and completely inhospitable. I have nothing good to say about caboose, don't go if you're a local.

Absolutely the best fish cutters in Barbados. We stumbled across this place a few years ago when we were walking around Speightstown. It had been a normal hot day in Barbados but by the time we got back from Haywood’s beach we were parched. They...served us up a terrific fish cuter and the coldest ( just off the ice ) Banks beer that we have ever had. Find this place👍🏻. I believe they are open Wednesday through Sunday but it is worth the trip from anywhere on the island.More

What a find Caboose is! A hidden gem, great fish cutters served from a converted old boat and a good selection of drinks. Have the fully loaded cutter - delicious and enjoy the music and vibe!

The only possible problem is that word has spread about just how good Caboose is. We've been visiting since they started and haven't seen any loss of standard. It's still the best casual eating, and the rum punch !

Used to be superb, still very tasty but the fish is now razor thin, quite disappointed today. What has happened to the portion of fish, actually and salad? Minute!

A first for us as a local friend wanted to bring us here for "the best fish cutter on the island". She was right! It was really the best we've had ever! It was a Sunday afternoon (they close at 6pm) & it was busy...but we managed to get a seat at a bench table. There was a good steel pan player & a nice atmosphere. Very casual, lovely staff, very small menu but we knew what we wanted. Thoroughly enjoyed it 😎More

Delicious flying fish sandwich served in a friendly environment. Great value for money for light lunch washed down with local beer. Not far from Heywoods Beach, highly recommend.

Just by Haywards beach on the one way road outta speightstown it's rough and ready BUT the food is amazing. Small menu , cheap drinks and a complete mish mash of chairs and furniture but the vibe and the food are just off the hook.

Believe the reviews, the Caboose serves up excellent fish cutters. A couple of us went for the regular with lettuce and tomato and some went for the loaded one with and egg and cheese included - both were fabulous. It was busy but the staff...were great and we did not wait long for our food. The atmosphere was good, everyone friendly and we will definitely visit again and highly recommend it.More

What a great concept - fish and salt bread! My friend and I loved this venue and visited twice during our trip. Wayne and his team are great. The rum punch was delicious!
