We had a group of 16 that took the Bernina Express from St. Moritz to Tirano for the day. We made reservations to ensure the restaurant would accommodate us. We were seated promptly by the attentive waiters. Our group had a variety of dishes from the extensive variety of pizza to cannelloni to the pasta primavera. The food was delicious and wine selection was very good. Definitely worth a visit

Second time here. Sirloin steak was excellent, but loved the pizza even more. Some nice grilled vegetables were very good and the cooked vegetables were also good. Service was prompt and professional. Look forward to returning. Would recommend a visit. Prices are reasonable and good for the quality.

Five members of the family were in Tirano and we decided to stop off to eat at this restaurant. The food was delicious, not only the local pizzoccheri, of course, but also the soup and other numerous courses too. You can actually see the chef at work in the kitchen opposite the main entrance. The Antica Osteria has an indoor eating area and a light glass covered outdoor area. The place is conveniently located around the corner from Palazzo Salis and near the church of St Martin. The staff are polite and helpful. Good prices too.

Food here is great value and superb in taste. If we were staying here any longer we would be back without a doubt. Decent sized food menu including what appeared to be a pretty good wine menu, my father-in-law would definitely recommend the locally produced rose. Nice atmosphere with very attentive staff, overall a great experience. Bellissimo !!!

We all enjoyed our last meal in Italy at this restaurant. The beef was so very tender in its light tomato sauce and accompanied by buckwheat polenta made an interesting meal.

Good variety of food and beverage choices at reasonable prices. Good atmosphere and good service. Good for small or large meals and caters for small or larger groups. Tucked away in a side street close to the main centre.

We ate lunch here during our one-day visit to Tirano, and we enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner. The restaurant has an extensive pizza menu and many regional specialties you won't find in other parts of Italy--an interesting mix of Italian and German influences. One of us had pizza topped with what Americans would call sliced hot dogs, for example. Unusual but surprisingly good. The staff don't speak English well but we communicated fine anyway. The setting is charming, and it looked like mostly locals were eating here. We recommend this restaurant.

We stumbled on this restaurant after visiting the nearby castle. The food was amazing (some of the best we’ve had in Italy) and the service was excellent. It was a warm day so we sat outside in the courtyard. My partner had the octopus salad and it was fresh and tasty. I had a delicious pasta dish. Excellent value.

Great place to sample local cuisine. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. We ate outside. Food was excellent. We had a fixed menu which included:a salad, pork with veggies, gnocchi pasta. berries, ice cream and wine. Everything was delicious. Staff was friendly, restaurant was clean, and the prices reasonable. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We were recommended this place for good local cuisine by our hotel concierge. The restaurant looked almost full (only outdoor and the Veranda area was opened for lunch, the indoor area looked like it was closed). Almost all local crowd. The service staffs were attentive although extremely busy serving an almost full house. Food was excellent. We ordered 1) the local menu set (EUR 34) which comprised cured beef with porcini mushroom, local specialty black wheat pasta with potatoes, another local specialty sliced beef wrapped with bacon on skewers served with mix of grilled potatoes, carrots, and broccoli and desserts, 2) salad of rockets and porcini and cheese and 3) Napoli pizza (tomato, cheese, anchovies). The food was excellent - we finished everything except the pasta. The pasta was tasty with interesting texture but we could not finish the very generous serving. Also partly because the weather was rather warm - my companion mentioned that he could finish the whole plate by himself as a meal in winter time :) The unanimous favorite was the skewers. The potatoes were really specially, chewy texture and rich taste. The whole meal costed EUR 56. We were really full. We did not take photos of the food (just to show how much we enjoyed it) - I realized that I only took a photo of the olive oil, vinegar and bread that was served while we were waiting for the ordered dishes.

We (family of 4 - boys 7 and 11) ate our lunch there three days in a row. One of our sons is celiac and they offered glutenfree pasta. The food is great there. The boys tried the gluten free pasta and the pizza diavola, and we tried the gnocchi, different pastas, salads and the selection of cheese. The waiters (brothers?) we're very friendly and welcoming.

Visited for dinner on our stay in Tirano on 31st May. We were tired and needed a cool meal. We attended well, service good, explained us well about menu. We took local dish Buckwheat pancake, Pizza and mixed salad. Best was their buckwheat pancake. I will recommend this for having meal with great ambiance.

This was an interesting meal - had a starter, the Scamorza, a smoked cheese that was grilled and served with vegetables. I really enjoyed the flavor and it was a change from the somewhat standard Italian food we had been eating for a while. I would give it a shot if you're in the area.

We found this charming restaurant just down from our hotel in Tirano and we highly recommend it. The service and food was excellent. The prices were average. My husband had pizza. We shared a salad with apple, walnuts, local cheese, and local meat, and lettuce. As a celiac I had a choice of spaghetti or penne but they were more than willing to make up any sauce I wanted.

We came here because of a family reunion, our relatives reserved half dining room; at the beginning it was ok but later came more and more people so pulling/pushing chairs or moving in/out got difficult because was totally packed… Nice place with two main dining rooms, a conservatory dining room and a courtyard; dishes were the classic ones of this area; taroz (potatoes with haricots), pizzocheri (those made with buckwheat) along with plates of ham cuts that everybody like and a large grilled beef… food was good, served hot and inviting, we were so satiated that we couldn’t finish the beef. We are part of a prolific family and some commensals asked us to silence (sorry!) Apart of this episode, service was OK, food was OK, a nice eatery in this town.
