Staying in Skala we decided to take a cab for the short journey into nearby Kaminia Beach and we are delighted we did.
Anemos is located up a short hill (the cab dropped us right outside) and looks out over the sea towards the island of Zante. To the right are some villas currently being constructed but they do not spoil the view or vibe unless you look in their direction.
The staff were simply wonderful. Very professional, attentive and friendly throughout, they totally added to and enhanced our whole experience.
After cocktails looking out over the sea as the sun went down, we were taken to our table with a similar view and the superb service continued.
What can I say about the food?! It was stunning.
Starters were a mini kebab packed full of flavour and a cauliflower dish that completely rids it's reputation as being one of the vegetables with the least flavour. Absolutely delicious believe me.
I like steak. In fact there are very few foods I don't like. But my 300g rib eye, served sliced on a board, was right up there with the best I've ever eaten. And the salmon stuffed with prawns saw a similar reaction from my partner.
It was that good they we found room for dessert and it was equally as stunning.
We left full but not uncomfortably stuffed happy that we had enjoyed a quite wonderful meal.
Highly recommend a visit.

My wife and I went to Anemos twice. First time it was for the beach, beach bar and we then ate at the restaurant
Second time we just went to the restaurant.
Beach is lovely and although a small line of rocks are in the waterline it’s sandy. A wooden walkway goes over the rock bar so you can get from the beach to the sea without having to walk over it. Sea you can walk out for miles and only get waist deep and it’s all sand.
Beach bar is great and the music is quiet
Restaurant is behind this on a steep slope, the views are stunning despite some construction to next to it.
Food starters are excellent and the special we had was innovative and tasted superb (figs with blue cheese and pistachios)
Wine list isn’t huge, with some good local wines, Robola is a very different local white, fresh and packed full of herbs and lemon flavours, it’s good and there’s a great Provence rose on there as well. Not the cheapest, quite heavily marked up.
Mains are good, sea bass with orzo and the stuffed salmon and both very good dishes. Second time I had the beef cheeks with pasta which wasn’t the best and poorly presented
Service is friendly and fairly attentive. Views and ambience brilliant

Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Staff were well presented, attentive and professional. Excellent management and accommodating of an earlier than anticipated arrival. The food lived up to previous reviews expectations and every dish superbly presented, good quality and delicious! It’s location right by this part of the beach meant a 1 min walk trip to sun loungers at about 3.30pm that we weren’t even charged for as no attendants. Beach was not busy and even if charged was a third of the price of complete rip-off main beach in Agnostoli. Worth making a deliberate visit whilst in Kefalonia.

Beautiful location and welcoming staff but unfortunately that's where it ended.
Our Greek salad was very tired and the Feta was rationed !
My wife's lemon chicken had never seen any lemon - it was overcooked meat swimming in a mustard sauce !? with cold mashed potato. They offered to replace but it was too late by then as I was halfway through my main course - stuffed grilled sardines which were delicious !! - the best part of the visit.
There was no offer to adjust the bill, in spite of the complaint but we were given a glass each of disgusting strawberry vodka which needless to say, we didn't drink.
We will not be returning.

Went on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Stunning location with views out to sea. Our waiter was so attentive and friendly.
We started off with their special cocktail which was divine and ate delicious food. My husband had the steak - you pay per 100g - and he said it was the best he’d ever had.
I had the cauliflower steak and mushroom gyros. Perfect.
We’d booked our taxi for two hours later - wish we’d made it a little later because it was such a special place.
All in all, just fabulous!

Took a short cab from Skala to Anemos and this place truly is a magical setting for Dinner. Looking down over Kaminia/Mounda beach and out across the sea to neighbouring Zante, this elevated restaurant with cooling sea breezes is a must evening meal experience. A crisp white and blue design built around a few trees which supply a natural sun canopy gives this place a relaxed feel. Combine this with great service and food and just look out at that view as the light fades and enjoy your dinning experience. Will definitely return next year for sure.
P.S…..please bring your club sandwiches back on your lunchtime menu…..

One of the least friendliest restaurants we experienced in Kefalonia. A very lukewarm reception whilst they displayed much affection to regulars and locals. We were a same sex couple with our son so think that may have had an impact, although we were smartly dressed for the evening. When asked if a table was available they said at the back when half the restaurant was empty, I would have preferred them to be honest so we could have spent our money else where. This place acts like it is an upmarket restaurant, unfortunately the food was average. This was the closest restaurant to our villa however we never returned. We experienced much friendly and nicer food in Skala. The greeks are very friendly people so it was quite a shock to experience this type of restaurant.

Good evening. We are very sorry that you feel this way about us. Our restaurant works mainly with reservations and if we put you in the back seats, that means that the front seats were reserved. Obviously, our main concern is the perfect service of our customers, whatever race, age, status they may be. We are also very sorry that you were not satisfied with our food. As for the comments about racist behavior and mentality, we would not like to comment on anything, we are in 2023 and we think that such behaviors are unacceptable and we do not support them even in the slightest. We will be very happy if you make your reservation and welcome you with all our heart, so that we can convince you of the opposites of what you write.

We visited for our anniversary meal. The setting is stunning and we were kindly given a sea view as requested on our booking. We were made to feel SO special on arrival and were each given a glass of champagne to celebrate our special day. Every member of staff wished us a happy anniversary and were kind and genuine.
The food was out of this World! My husband is still telling everyone about his steak and the pudding I had was like nothing I’ve ever had before- it was stunning! I’m desperately trying to find the recipe do that I can attempt to recreate it at home. The lady that recommended it to me, also told me the history of the dish and said it was her favourite too, I can see why!
In our opinion this is the one of the best, if not the best restaurant on the island as they not only have wonderful food but also the loveliest staff too.
If you visit, you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely beautiful food and a wonderful setting. Staff are friendly and very relaxed, they encourage you to relax and enjoy the fabulous setting with drinks, before eceb looking at food menu. We had prawns and fig to start, followed by steak and shrimp and grilled squid, which was so delicious. Yes it's lightly expensive. However, the staff are very attentive, the quality of the food was just amazing and the view is just beautiful. Highly recommend.

In a slightly elevated position overlooking Kaminia beach, between Katelios and Skala this is a beautiful place to dine. An open veranda surrounds the building with stylish arrangements of candles, shells and other objet d’art. The fairy lights surrounding the tree trunks and branches and the candles come into their own after the sun sets. A wedding reception was taking place when we visited. The restaurant has plenty of parking space, but the steps up to the restaurant might make it difficult for the disabled to visit. We did find that the combination of an extremely vocal group of cicadas, the background music and lots of people enjoying themselves did make it difficult to hear at times.
Anemos is both stylish and professional, the waiting staff were polite, nicely dressed, attentive and friendly and their manager a vision of loveliness in an elegant evening dress exuding calm and efficiency. Service was timely and well executed.
Food at Anemos is more ambitious than many Greek restaurants and veers towards fine dining. It elevates the more usual offerings to a higher and more sophisticated level. Worthy of mention was the quality of the cocktails we ordered. Plating is attractive, though sauce ‘smearing’ is I understand going out of fashion!
A dessert of Kunefe (which I had not heard of previously) proved to be yummy, though the portion size was a little large. Other more unusual desserts were offered and were equally successful. A small glass of melon flavoured liqueur was offered to each of us with the bill and was a pleasant touch – especially thoughtful was the non-alcoholic drink offered to our son.
Anemos is up there with the best, and came runner up in our best restaurants of the week!

A wonderful restaurant set up from the beach with amazing views! Book early and ask for a table at the front with a view!
We visited twice whilst staying in Skala, it was a 5-10 min drive or taxi but very much worth it.
The menu and specials selection was fantastic, brilliant authentic food, some cooked outside on a grill too and the service was the best we experienced in the area by a country mile.
We were a family of five and had two very special evenings there.
I will caveat that with a warning that the tables in the back didn’t look as appealing and didn’t have the view, so important to book a table at the front, if you book for 730 it’s quieter and you get the sunset on the mountains, making for beautiful photos.
We also used the beach a few times and rented beds and had food, drink and ice creams from the beach bar at the bottom which was also really well done and staff so friendly.

Located in a raised position overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches with sea in Kefalonia. Shaded by trees and tents, attention to detail. Very kind and fast service. Great food and well presented, quality ingredients. Ordered fried shrimp, fried eggplant stuffed with cheese, salmon slice. This last dish is a bit expensive, but all excellent.

What a great restaurant this place is.
We went for a stroll beforehand on the beach to work up an appetite for lunch.
I would describe the food as "contemporary Greek"
Great Greek dishes with a modern twist.
Started with some nice cocktails, ice cold beer then a nice bottle of Rose and a single glass of red.
We ordered food for the table... 5/6 dishes for the table to share.
The highlight for me was the days Special, oven roasted sardines.
Nicely cooked, with a slight smoky taste ( maybe a wood fired oven ? ).
With a Nice view over the beach, a fantastic lunch was enjoyed by us all.
128 Euros, which with the cocktails and bottle of wine was amazing value.
Really friendly staff too.
A car or taxi is needed to get here in my opinion.

Visited for lunch with friends whilst spending the day at Mounda Beach.
The view from the restaurant as we enjoyed our lunch was spectacular as always.
Staff were friendly and the food was delicious-we can definitely recommend the figs in prosciutto ham, courgette croquettes & Traditional Kef Bruschetta- YUMMY!.

After a day on Kaminia beach, we decided to head back that way in the evening to try out the much-recommended Anemos (our villa’s Visitors’ Book is glowing with praise for the restaurant!). We were lucky to get a table, having not booked, but we struck gold with our beach view, just as the skies took on their evening glow. Immediately struck by the friendly service, we settled in for an utterly delicious dinner, enjoying in particular the barbecued beef and the wonderful fresh tuna. It was such a treat, we decided to book (& were able to request the same table) for the final night of our holiday, meaning we enjoyed more of the relaxing Anemos vibe last night, with more fantastic food. Yes, it’s one of the more expensive options in this part of the island but it’s superb value for money: my sea bream was really good & our desserts (a kind of semi-freddo ice cream with a name I just can’t remember!) were incredible. We are delighted we found Anemos and would recommend it highly as somewhere special. Great food, great people, great views: what’s not to love?
