My dinner cod was freshly caught and salad was very tasty. There were far too many fried potatoes.
Breakfast featured canned fruit even though fruit were currently in season. The croissants seemed a stale.More

This is not restaurant good, is Pub food. The puddings were mostly winter ones. The staff didn't see interested in our comments, won't be going back unless things change dramatically.

Very disappointing to visit this place and experience extremely poor service. The staff had an obvious "don't care" attitude which was not becoming of the place. While the food was very good and most enjoyable, the wait staff left a lot to be desired. Where...does one dine when the entree plates are left on the table while the mains are served?? And having to ask for clean cutlery for the next course is well below par. Rather embarrassing when overseas guests are dining with you. A very much improved customer service training regime is desperately needed here. And the bar staff could do well to place glasses on a tray for delivery to the table rather than bring them over by hand - two at a time!More
Went to this restaurant on a lovely summer nite in February. We both had never been there before, due to the entertainment book we thought it would be a good place to go and it was. Lovely setting with gold out doors that looks out to...a nice garden. The food was yummy. I had pork belly and it was the meatiest pork belly I have ever had and Bruce had the bluecod and fries and that was yummy too. Both good substantial meals. Service was ok, nothing to right home about. Would we go back. Yes we would. Thumbs up guysMore
An arranged business meeting with building contractor took a little longer so stayed for tea.... just excellent... food was stunning and staff were brilliant.. polite and excellent service. A very pleasant surround and relaxed. The food was tasty and quick to the table. A definite...return in mind.More
We were staying at the Heartland Hotel Croyden so we made a booking for dinner at 7:00 PM. I had deep fried Bluff Oysters and venison and my wife had a salad with salmon. The food was very good and it was nice to not...have to drive to dinner.More
I work a t this restaurant in the kitchen so sorry can't really give it a review but do know we are always busy and people enjoy there time there . I personally enjoy the food and staff are a great crew to work with
I have just come home from the Blazing Copper Restaurant in Gore. What an excellent meal both my wife and I enjoyed.I had the Beer Battered Orange Roughy for a main. The batter was crunchy and the fish fresh and tasty. The salad was excellent...and a good sized portion and the chips well cooked. My wife had the Homemade Pumpkin, Spinach, Feta & Pine nut Ravioli - it was delicious (I did try a sample).
The highlight, though, was the Central Otago Stone Fruit Upside-down Cake - it was absolutely delectable. The accompanying Nectarine Ice Cream was simply the best !!
Our meal was enjoyed in pleasant surroundings, including being able to take in the view of the grounds and garden through the ground to floor front windows (which made the restaurant feel bright and open). The staff were particularly helpful and pleasant.More
Delicious food served by efficient and friendly staff. A fantastic evening. Good value. So pleased we found this place and grateful the staff fitted our group in. The pork was beautifully cooked and well accompanied. Thanks for a memorable evening.
