Great warm friendly place that was busy and buzzing with locals so always a good sign. We’ll stock cabinet of nice slices muffins and savoury things. Tea came in a pot and table service was prompt. Would go back

We had the sausage roll, quiche, lemon slice, coffee, and juice. The team are very welcoming and had some good laughs with us. This service was surpassed by the food, sausage roll that was fluffy inside and not the hard compact meat of the standard....The quiche was gone before our eyes had a chance to admire it. First time visiting here, nice quiet little cafe on the main high street of Gore. Ordered the Eggs Benedict with salmon and a long black, friendly service from the waitress and the coffee was great. Food came out fast and wow, probably one of the...BEST I’ve eaten. Deliciously crispy bread, amazing fresh salmon and perfectly boiled eggs with a lovely sweet vinaigrette & hollandaise sauce. 10/10More

Great coffee and chai, awesome cheese and bacon scone. Super friendly staff. Bathroom out the back through the kitchen which was super clean! (Both the kitchen and the bathroom!!)

This small café is welcoming, clean and comfortable (days newspaper whilst you wait) free on street parking down adjacent alley to rear. Great for a light lunch, or just a coffee & cake, all fresh and taste superb.

A good place to go for a quick snack or a cuppa. Great food and friendly staff. I would recommend it to others

I've had coffee all around the place. I own 2 fancy coffee machines. The coffee I had was the best I can remember. We were only in Gore for a couple of hours but I went back before leaving town and had another. I loved...the coffee. Great Coffee doesn't go far enough. [I also had the Southern Man (big breakfast) and it ticked all the boxes except one. There was some green garnish on my plate. Southern Man? Greens? I guess they're not quite like they used to be.]More

Great place to warm up on a cold wet day & obviously popular with the locals. Very friendly staff & delicious berry/choc & berry/cinnamon muffins & hubby rated the coffee. Only downside was the sticky table, tho looked clean.

With six large tables, three small ones, and bench seating this cafe had a high occupation rate when I visited over lunch time. I enjoyed the real berry smoothies, great for a hot day. People’s meals coming out looked tasty and homemade.

Enjoyed a salad, raspberry smoothie and caramel slice when passing through Gore from Dunedin to Milford Sound. Tasty, lovely service, fresh. Definitely recommended.

Arrived for lunch and it was excellent. I had the broccoli and carrot salad and a coffee. Both were served fast and it was a lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff and reasonable price.

Easy access and free parking at rear of building. Great coffee, cakes, savouries, soups and light meals. Try their 'passionfruit slice with cream'... it is slimming, of course...!!
