Delicious food, great new menu to choose from, very good service, good value, attractive surroundings, not too noisy which makes conversation more enjoyable. Highly recommend

So much to choose from! Had the cauli bao and duck wings to start and this was just to die for! Duck wings are heavenly! Beef cheek next and my friend had the french toast donut. Both amazing! Treated to a tasting of deserts and...well the tiramisu is a must try! Amazing. Has me wanting to go back and try more of the menu. Great for the new chefs great menu so many choices and flavour is amazing in every dish! So much love in that food. All 3 front of house staff were friendly!More

I facilitated a group of 30 people for a buffet dinner experience last weekend and what an incredible service we were provided. Roz was essentially the needle and thread that sowed that place together, incredible selection of delisous food and too quality service, a great...setting for anyone. I would say it is the best all round experience in gore whether you want just a beer and the footy with a snack or a dinner with friends and family. Thanks Roz for hosting us and your great team of staff. I will be back 👌👍🍷More

Went their for saturday lunch. The place looks beautiful, put our order for prawns to share and blue cod and lamb salad for mains, when the meals came the meals were just warm not hot enough. Their was no flavour to any of the meals....The rice that came with prawns were undercooked, the prawns were just warm. The roast veggies that came with lamb were burnt so tasted bitter, the salads that came with both the mains were not washed as we could see the dirt (mud) in lettuce leaves. So didnt even touch it. Was disgusted to see that. We wanted to show and tell the staffs but no body came to ask us if the meal was ok. The roast potatoes that came with blue cod was bitter as well. Dont want to go back. Horrible food experience.More

The last time I was in Gore for work, just over a month ago, the places I chose to eat were terrible. The meals were expensive and substandard so this time I decided I would try The Thomas Green. Firstly the decor is lovely, innovative...use of privacy screens creates space for tables that would otherwise be lost, the fireplace was welcoming on a cold evening and the massive mirror was impressive over it (but could do with a clean). We were seated quickly and efficiently and I was surprised at how busy it was for a Tuesday night. Wednesday night was even busier so it pays to book. The menu was extensive and I was spoilt for choice when it came to ordering. My fussy travelling companion was also able to find two different meals she would eat,; a huge relief as finding somewhere she is happy to eat is a challenge. Night one I ordered the pork belly. Flavour filled and succulent it was an excellent choice and I enjoyed every mouthful. Night two I went with the lamb which was cooked to perfection and was well paired with pumpkin and baby carrots and a pea and parsnip purée. Every mouthful was delicious. I had a Baileys affogato to finish the meal which was a perfect end to a working day. Night two could only have been improved by being able to pay the bill quicker as we had to wait for people to order drinks and be served those until eventually a staff member realised and took us to the side to get us sorted. I will happily return here to eat again and would recommend it as streets ahead of Howl at the Moon across the roadMore

This is a beautiful venue, warm, nicely decorated and well staffed. Prompt service, the coffee was certainly fabulous. My son stated the seafood chowder was the best he had tried for a long time. The blue cod was cooked to perfection. Our only disappointment was...for my sister and her Vegetarian option of the Breakfast stack. We had this meal 2 days previously and it was loaded with beautiful freshly cooked vegetables, broccoli etc, however today it simply had potato, tomato and a few leaves of spinach with one poached egg. When we asked about the disappointing difference we were met with excuses of training chef and it was not clear if we were even offered a solution, this inconsistencies in menu really needs addressing for future customers.More
