We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ate here twice during our five-night stay in Citta della Pieve! The service sets this restaurant apart. Our waiters each night were charming and helpful with menu recommendations, and other staff were kind and welcoming. All of...our dishes were wonderful, but we would be remiss not to call out the pici cacio e pepe and the grilled steaks. The cacio e pepe is finished tableside and is one of the best we have had. On our second visit we were tempted to order it again. We opted not to in order to try some of their other great primi (risotto with saffron and a tagliolini with goat, chestnuts and squash), and we were not disappointed! The portions are a good size; the waiter even recommended that we share the portion of cacio e pepe rather than each having one since the standard serving was 350 grams! Reservations are strongly recommended. Our first visit we were able to be seated around 8 pm on a Tuesday night, and when we made a reservation that night for the following Saturday, they only had 7 pm available. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely -- not at all stuffy! We set upstairs each night, and the dining rooms up there are lovely with painted ceilings and beautiful artwork. The downstairs looked to have a cozier vibe where could see the meats being grilled over the fire. We would defintely return if back in Citta della Pieve!More

Excellent food here and attentive service. We’ve eaten here three times this week and would happily return - wide choice of menu and can’t recommend it highly enough.

Citta della Pieve is pretty and interesting to walk through. But (in October) there was no one around and nothing going on. Very much like the neutron bomb had gone off. On the other hand, the meal at this restaurant was great. We loved the...Pici Cacio e Pepe.More

Well, we tried to book for the Saturday Night. Unfortunately booked out. Booked another restaurant, had a great evening. The Sunday night Bruno Coppetta, high expectations. The antipasto misto was disappointing. Seasons vegitable was spinache. No problem. Antipasta, small and limited in choice. We ordered...the vegitables with the main course, again spinache. Not very attentive, but at least very consistent. The host was not interested in tourists. All the attention to the locals. While on holiday I am on a positive side, but this was really disappointing. So not the best evening. Therefore only an average rating.More

We had a wonderful meal at Coppetta last night. As always the food was simple and delicious based on great, local ingredients and served with a smile. The ambience is wonderful too, warm and animated. There is no fish on the menu but plenty of...choices. Great pizza and pasta dishes and a wide selection of grilled meats. These are grilled on an open fire at the back of the restaurant which is fun to watch. A good selection of wines too and a very reasonable bill at the end of our meal. What a great night!More

Very bad experience. Daughter found maggots in her chicken. No appologies, no discount, nothing. Only a discussion on the number of maggots they counted in the chicken. Our daughter found three, the kitchen found two. Just unacceptable.More

As good as it gets. Everything is fantastic, delicious and perfect. They are famous for the Cacio e Pepe, served from a whole large melting Pecorino wheel. Unbelievably fantastic. Also, the best pizza we have had in Italy; light and delicate and the highest quality...ingredients. You will love anything you order here. Handmade pastas cooked perfectly, delicious fresh salads and vegetables.More

We were recommended this restaurant for a 'pre-wedding' dinner by some locals and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was fully booked with locals and that tells you something! Our young waitress was brilliant despite our poor attempts with our broken Italian and British pointing....The fillet steak was to die for and the 'pici cacio e Pepe' was superb. My one word of warning although not a bad thing is that you really do get 'Italian' portions! The sizes are huge so be careful about ordering individual dishes and consider sharing a starter as the portions are extremely generous and it is criminal to waste such brilliant food! Great quality meal for a very reasonable price! We will definitely be back.More

Just excellent food and service. The kitchen in this part of Italy is a bit more meatlover oriented. And this restaurant shows it; excellent grilled beef and lambchops. For my daughter who prefers to eat gluten free they had excellent pasta and glutenfree bread even...without asking. As we learned from other local restaurant we kept starters simple and we closed with nice dessert. Everything accompanied with good regional wine. Needless to say that we made a reservation for next week.More
