I hadn't been to this restaurant for about 2 years, but the roast cod, pastries, cornbread and cream are still very good!

We booked a table for 6, at the time that was still possible, which would be around 2:30 pm, but we only had a table at around 3:15 pm.
We would have liked to have some vegetables to accompany the cod and the mashed potatoes, but there weren't any, because they normally don't have vegetables.

Best of the Best, Wonderful Mercury and the best potatoes I've ever eaten. The bread (broa) comes still warm and clear the olive oil to wet the bread, very very good even.The cream milk is divine. If you are looking for a place for lunch with family or friends this is the place! The space is very welcoming and the staff make us feel at home! It is an old, rustic space but with an amazing atmosphere especially on those rainy days!
The entrances are always wonderful with cheeses, cod cookies, chorus and hot bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar always accompanied by a glass of champagne with orange that is a speciality of the house!
The roasted cod is one of the most famous dishes in the restaurant and never disappoint but it also has postura, goat and other things!

Food menu very simple miniscule and limited, staff rarely to be seen, nothing usual or unusual in the food very basic. Shrimps fried, potato boiled. Lucky if cut up little added , massive wait times even when lowly populated, if your foreign no English. In Menus. Even the view was meager. Sorry but don't book here unless ur expecting something local and not special, the meal took over 2 and half hrs for a basic 3 course starters turned up when ever Willy nilly, don't Google translate the food it will bugger your expectations up even worse. Ribs, hmmm, two giant FROZEN prawns were presented, I joked and said they are not for us. frozen food in portugal? But nope! So deserts nothing much either staff leave you to it, we ended up sharing water and drinks as common mistakes to cater too were taken. Also a larger and smaller party was fed and in and out much quicker so, it's obviously erratic service. I was told to wait till afterwards to give and honest opinion but I could have done that after starters and given you what you need top know. Also no big sign to find the place so good luck.

Today, we visited O VICTOR again and as expected the cod was divine. And the desserts and starters weren't far behind. Everything very, very good.
We hadn't been there for a long time and our visit today confirmed the excellent shape of the restaurant and the leadership of Mr. Victor, always friendly, very professional, with a fine touch of humor and good disposition.
