We have been to Compostela lots over the years and it’s always been brilliant, but on our recent visit we had a fantastic meal, so much so we wanted to leave a review. The food is so fresh and the service is lovely. We had the Camembert and Iberian ham to start, followed by three steaks, two fillets and one t-bone, and a pork fillet. All cooked beautifully and highly recommend! We recommend going early (around 7pm) as the front of house is ran by one lovely woman who can be rushed off her feet as the evening goes on. But it’s worth being patient! We can’t wait to come back!

We happened by chance in this restaurant and it was a wonderful surprise, in 10 days we came for 3 nights for dinner and 1 lunch. Entrecote of Lalin de Menorca grilled really tender and tasty, accompanied by mixed vegetables sautéed many good. For Una sera we booked the Paella the previous day because they make it only with fresh fish so to order and it was delicious and really plentiful (2 full plates each diner). Gorgeous shrimp tartare. Mixed grill of menorcan pork equally good, tasty and tender always accompanied by a side dish of mixed sautéed vegetables. All this at far more than reasonable figures.
The children's menu according to my son all very good (tried 2 times spaghetti with meat sauce that were pure al dente and 2 times fried fish) and I confirm at a ridiculous figure (7.5 € including final ice cream).
The staff is very nice and helpful, and fast.
In short, should we ever return to Son Bou we will definitely return.
Come here, they deserve it.

After numerous visits to this restaurant, which may seem sad at first glance, we decided to discover what the menu had in store for us.
We do not regret this choice, the dishes were delicious with healthy accompaniments... all homemade... the desserts being just as succulent.
The staff is friendly and very smiling. the spacious and clean place offers a beautiful view of the sunset.
We will return with pleasure!

The nicest paella we’ve had all holiday. Service was amazing and waitress welcoming, food delightful. Just a shame it was so quiet, don’t let this put you off the food and service was amazing - highly recommend a visit.

Visited with family of 6 ( 3 generations) We’ve had a holiday home in son bou for over 20 years and have always enjoyed eating here. Yes it is quiet - the owner and his wife are quiet, but friendly, hard working local people. The restaurant is spotless , spacious , beautifully decorated and a very relaxing place for an unhurried meal in comfort. For us the food is just always beautifully cooked and excellent quality… this visit we had mixed paella ( you do need to pop in and just pre order earlier in the day or the day before - good , freshly cooked paella is not fast food so makes sense really, and you can appreciate this is helpful for a quieter restaurant, ) it’s well worth the pre order though as it’s delicious, chateaubriand - perfectly cooked , and pork fillet with Mahon cheese sauce, the meat is always very well cooked to your preference. Have had great fish on other visits , vegetable paella , delicious steak, the sangria is great , and house red perfect - I do appreciate this place won’t suit everyone - If you like a lot of buzz and noise and lots going on, maybe not for you but if you are looking for great quality food in a more peaceful setting give it a try. You could just find the hidden gem !

Restaurant was ok, we went hoping for a paella but didn’t discover until we got the menu that you had to pre-order in advance so had to chose something else. Service was very slow with only one woman serving front of house but food was ok. Wouldn’t rush back though.

Holidayed here July 2022. Best restaurant in Son Bou. Fillet steak to die for. Fish menu superb. Cant fault this. Nothing too much trouble. Prices very reasonable. Cant recommend enough. Worth a visit.

This place was the first restaurant we tried in Son Bou. Very friendly service (as with all the restaurants we tried), children friendly and excellent food. We sampled breakfast, lunch and evening meals at Compostela and had a very good experience with all of them, culminating in our final meal of the holiday (13.06.19) with what I can honestly say was the best meal I have ever had in 60 odd years.

Compostela is located away from the main eating areas of Son Bou, and still fails to stand out. Service was poor and slow, despite very few other customers, whilst the food was relatively average. The duck confit was a highlight, but the rest struggled to stand out within the wide range of cuisine available in the area.
