Spice grill is located on the main high street of Kaeo in the Far North. The Spice Grill is next door to the Kaeo Dairy below Sabbis Backpackers. The Spice Grill is owner operated and is well known in the region for its high quality traditional North Indian style cuisine and friendly atmosphere. The Spice grill also serves the local community a basic fish and chip menu alongside the takeaway menu.

OMG yum. From the mixed starter - best samosa ever - to the spiciest of goat dishes, mild prawn dishes and malai kofta everything was beautifully cooked with the right spice for each of us. Great staff too. If you like listening to music while you eat, take your speaker with you. They are very accommodating. Highly recommended and well worth the stop if you're passing through.

Lovely Prawn Calabari .....perfectly cooked tender prawns in a delicious sauce ......just exactly as requested (medium hot).
Traditional naan also perfect.
Takeaway very efficiently ready on time....thank you!

Great Indian meals - we really enjoyed our dinner. Very flavourful, delicious and authentic! The price was also very reasonable for the generous serving
The service was prompt and the staff even helped us when we found our car battery was flat when we were ready to leave. They really went out of their way - even got the chef to come out and helped with jump starting our car using his truck. Thank you so much for such a fantastic meal and your kindness!
We will definitely be back and recommend you to others. Thanks again!

Great Indian! We stopped here for lunch driving through the area. What a surprise in such a small town. We both thoroughly enjoyed our shared - lamb curry & vegetable curry. They were spicy & had meat in a plentiful amount. We were served a couple of complimentary papadoms while we studied the menu. The toilet was clean & staff polite & caring.

Cold and wintry night in Kaeo so this was definitely the best place to be. Really welcoming atmosphere,warm,comfortable and such great food. We had not been for a while and was the same excellent service and enjoyable experience.We had visitors from Australia who raved about the food and said best Indian food they have tasted.
Such a great asset to the town.Thank you.

Worst Indian food I’ve ever had- flavourless, rice was gloppy, service was terrible. They charged me twice as much as I thought it was because they messed up my order and refused to help. Avoid if possible

Have ordered here several times and each time the food and service is outstanding. Good portion size, friendly, helpful staff and absolutely delicious food. We've eaten Indian food all over Asia and New Zealand, this is one of the best in NZ!
Highly recommend the Prawn Pakora, Channa Masala, Saag Aloo, in fact have not had anything from here we didn't like.

Always great food and good service. Never fails to be a good experience for our family. We love what we usually have so much that we tend to order the same dishes.We are planning a community group dinner here in the future so will try some different ones. We are very fortunate to have this restaurant in our little town.

We have not been here for a few months but once again the food was delicious and superbly served by friendly attentive staff. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed,we will certainly visit more often. The menu is varied,interesting and the portions generous . Dont go past this amazing Indian restaurant if you are visiting the North.

We stayed in a cabin on the river and decided to eat out in kaeo one night. Spice Grill was only a 15 min drive away and did not dissapoint! Cute restaurant, with attentive staff and delicious food! Good portions, very tasty. So good we debated returning the next day too.

Most delicious Indian meal I’ve had in a long time. Lamb Madras. My favourite dish on any Indian menu. Did not disappoint at all. Can’t fault meal or service at all. We sat outside and enjoyed the friendly atmospheric northland town.

Wintry night & stopped in for a curry . Was shaking off a cold. A beautiful curry that met all my expectations, a bit spicier than usual as I'd ordered that. Totally nourished, so fortunate to have Indian food like this in our district. Consistently one of the very best.

A group of us have regularly called in here for a meal after mountaing biking so always arrive hungry. This place never dispapoints. They are always super accomodating, friendly and provide a great service. Working through the menu trying different meals has been fantastic experience. Not over the top hot either....we are certainly going to regular customers. Kapai.
