Came here for lunch after doing the glacier kayaking with Mt Cook team (well worth doing too!) and if you want good juicy burgers, this is the place to come to! Great flavours and really enjoyed the food, surrounded by lovely views and photos giving...you a sense of history of the mountains and mountaineers.More

Cute little bar and restaurant - mainly pizza and burgers on offer. Lovely view of Aoraki. Small array of beers (and a cider) on offer.

Some of the negative reviewers on here need to take a long look at themselves. We popped in here after a long day and had a burger and a cold beer. Despite arriving close to closing time, the staff were super friendly and all to...happy to take our order. The food arrived very quickly and the burger was one of the best I’ve had - it was juicy and cooked to perfection. With businesses struggling all over NZ I really don’t mind that the food was served in a cardboard carton. If it helps places like this stay open then why not. Great food, great location with super mountaineering memorabilia on the walls and windows that frame the real mountains beyond. We are here for a few days so will definitely be back!More

I would like to share. Today I went here and ordered pizza. But we can only eat the top because the pizza is charred. We want to recommend. So we decided to bring the pizza that could not be eaten to the chef quietly. And...we don't want to refund anything. But what we got was that he did not listen to us but also said it was okay, telling us we went to the restaurant to enjoy the food, not for a view. We think chef's job is cooking good quality food in a reasonable price.More

Called in here on 2nd Jan for a drink. Notices of a 15% surcharge were everywhere. (Image having to pay a 15% surcharge at a supermarket on a public holiday) If you are going to charge a surcharge at least have enough staff on so...they can clean up the takeaway containers you now serve everything in. Had to sit outside as no clean/free tables inside.More

We were definitely expecting more of this cafe being in the unique and scenic region it is. The notice on the door stating how Covid has affected staff numbers and food options should have turned us away. The new food options were acceptable but the...service was shocking, the food was under par and served on paper plates with disposable cutlery. Paid far more for their coffee and food than for the same in Central Wellington. Avoid.More

What a gem!! Stunning views, delicious feed and super friendly staff. Our burgers were super delicious :) and I was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating the restaurant is for vegans and gluten-free! Most of the times, I can only get some fries and maybe a...side salad whilst traversing South Island – thank you :)More

The Burger is one of the best I have had in ages. The chips are also really nice, crispy and fluffy at the same time. We also loved the mocha and hot chocolate!

Thank you so much Deanne. Lovely clients like you make it all worthwhile, especially in these troubled times of clients cut off and staff shortages. You made our day. Travel safe.
