We had the sushi on Monday night, my partner and I were both really excited to try it as the vegetarian options were different from what you usually get. It did not disappoint and we will be having again soon.

Visiting Methven for the hot pools. Not many choices to dine in a small town but I’m glad we chose the Green Parrot. Couldn’t fault anyone’s meals. Busy restaurant and delicious food. Swapping sauces on the chicken was no issues. We hope to be back.

We came by for dinner and were fortunate enough to get a table without a booking. We ended up in the dining room at the back of the restaurant. The menu wasn't too big but it did have quite a nice range of items. They...also had specials for each night. I tried the Brahma Malzbier and enjoyed it because it was surprisingly quite sweet. Started with the calamari and the fried chicken. The calamari was perfect. It was cooked perfectly so it was quite tender and it had a nice crispness to it. The fried chicken was also quite tender and juicy. I had the roasted ribeye and that was nice. Nice slab of beef with nicely cooked vegetables. I did find it on the dry side without the gravy. Had the brownie for dessert and that was nice. It wasn't overly gooey but was rich and chocolatey. It was quite a nice option for dinner and possibly drinks as they had a bar out front. The entrees were amazing but the mains didn't reach that bar. It was still a nice place for a meal.More

Went here on a whim. Wish we had taken photos of the food but we just couldn't resist diving in. Brazillian cheess balls were delicious amd the calamari beautifully cooked. Then the mains arrived. Wow. Kids loved their burgers. The rib eye was great amd...the slow cooked rib eye literally fell apart into a very flavoursome gravy. The seasoned chips which came with the dishes were phenomenal. Were going to leave but had to try a dessert or two. They were lovely too. Don't underestimate the simple, rustic decor, this place is a must visit. Just disappointed that we only found this on our last night in Methven.More

We were looking around for a place to have a late lunch and this restaurant had a different menu from the other places. All the dishes were very well presented and delicious. Highly recommend the roasted beef ribeye. Also, very friendly staff. Great experience!

WOW: this place is amazing!!! Service awesome, food Awesome🤗🤗. Very busy place, bit still managed to make a booking for 8 pax late at night. Highly recommend these guy's. All the best with a busy winter ahead of you 👍👍

Awesome food and really friendly staff we had a good laugh. It’s nice inside and everything was really good value. Will definitely be back. It pays to book as they are quite busy. Vegetarian burger was really nice.
