Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's rare to find a restaurant in Licata open for Sunday lunch at the moment and while we had heard good things about Gusti i will be passing on more than just "good" to my friends.
Amazingly we were the only folk in on a wet Sunday a couple of weeks ago so we enjoyed the enthusiasm of the Chef/Proprietor and his recommendations.
He explained in halting English but excellent French that his menu reflected the seasons so at this moment featured more meat than fish. As a result I ordered steak tartare as a started followed by Ossobuco a la Milanese. The tartare was superb and the Ossobuco excellent although surprisingly it was not fried in breadcrumbs. It was probably the Chef's, undoubted, French training that created that as his cooking reflected an eclectic of French and Sicilian heritages. My wife's Gamberini cocktail was perfectly acceptable but her tasty mushroom risotto needed, in my opinion, the rice more fully cooked. But then the Sicilians do seem to undercook both their pasta and their rice so what do I know?!
Desserts were home-made and again reflected the two cultures whilst the service and house wines red and white, no rose, helped complete a splendid lunch. My delicate petit verdot red was from a local vineyard.
I hope to be be back to enjoy this restaurant very soon especially as the prices encourage me to return.

My Wife, Son and I traveled to Sicily last week. Palermo, Messina, Syracuse, Taormina, Licata, Palazzo and Marsala and then 3 days in Rome. This was the best meal we ate the entire trip. A HIDDEN GEM. Not likely this restaurant will ever get the recognition it deserves with the out of the way location. BUT, If I were anywhere on the island of Sicily I would make the trip to Licata and dine here if you are a foodie. The owner has training and experience from restaurants all over the world before opening his restaurant in Licata. Opened just before the pandemic, what a difficult start, yet they endure and it is no surprise with the quality of food, service and ambiance. The owner/Chef periodically came out of the kitchen to check on his guests and say a quick hello before going back to the kitchen. Very warm hospitality that was equal to the food dishes.

Great all the dishes! From tasting the local EVO oil with bread, proposed by the waiter, to dessert, everything was delicious. The prices are honest and perfectly reflect the quality-quantity ratio, even those of the wines. The staff is very friendly and professional. Congratulations to the staff. Both the waiter and chef paid close attention to each table, interacting with customers and explaining details about the dishes. It was a really great experience.

Passing through Licata for a day we decide to dine in this place attracted by the positive reviews ... Unfortunately already at the entrance the location leaves us a little puzzled but we are still hopeful. The very kind waiter describes the 2 off the menu of the day, Spaghetti ai Ricci and Spaghetti with Red Shrimp and Pistachio that we decide to try in addition to 2 appetizers. It is a Tuesday in August in the place there will be a maximum of 20 people , arrived at 20:50 already to take the order pass at least 15 minutes , the appetizers arrive at 22 ... at least I must say that they were quite good although nothing exceptional, after finishing the appetizers we stay at least 15 minutes with dirty dishes on the table ... the first arrive at about 22:40 and unfortunately I must say that they were a disaster . Spaghetti with sea urchins from which I expected a sea explosion tasted only of lemon... spaghetti red shrimp with battered shrimp overcooked so as to have dried up also sauce totally untied from shrimp full of oil and even in the pasta had been added shrimp probably frozen! Full we order 2 coffees and 1 limoncello even for those we wait more than 10 minutes and in all this is after 11 pm ... at least I expected that they had noticed the discomfort and offered me limoncello (I am in Sicily and I find an industrial limoncello that I can also find in Val d’Aosta) and instead I pay 4 euros. 110 euros total I must say semi honest price if I had eaten well , too bad it did not happen that way . I'm sorry because I have to say that both in the waiter and in the cook who occasionally went around the room I saw commitment and passion but a dinner like this is inconceivable I am very disappointed and I must say that eating badly in Sicily is rare but I succeeded!

We ended up here by chance, friendly staff and the idea of bread and oil as a first tasting was excellent.
The first courses are delicious (we recommend the pasta with clams with pistachios and almonds). The only note is that the bill was a bit expensive (€4 for cover charge). All in all, a good dinner.

As soon as you enter this restaurant a very polite waiter will welcome you who will lead you to the table
As a waiter there is only him but he still manages to serve all the tables that are there in a short time
The food is really good and what I recommend is swordfish
I took a first course that had to be made with spaghetti but I asked if they could also do it with paccheri and they did, the chef went into a bit of a crisis with the cooking of paccheri and for this he forgot the cuttlefish julienne in another first course that we had ordered
The chef to make it up to us wanted to bring the second of cuttlefish
It is a really good place and I highly recommend it

Exceptional welcome, advice and explanation of the courses equally, Owner chef Luca Pagnini who with the help of an equally kind collaborator takes care of customers. Sophisticated dishes full of taste and creativity. Congratulations Chef, I thought people like you were extinct, outspoken and extremely skilled at their job.

Very particular and unusual menu for the area, exchanging a few words with the chef makes it clear that it is not native. The dishes were cooked very well and presented with care. A cellar with fair prices for wines to accompany the dishes. The staff were also very friendly and service minded. Really recommended!

On the occasion of a reunion with friends, we came to this place by chance. Even though we hadn't booked, the manager found us a corner. We immediately noticed the seriousness and professionalism of the staff, always attentive to the customers' every wish. We had the octopus tails on a bed of caponata as an appetizer, very very good. First, busiate with red prawns from Mazara, a real delight for the palate, all accompanied by a good cold Grillo. The wine list is good, with different varieties of reds and whites. Location in modern style. Prices a little higher, but justified by the products used.

Trusting the reviews, I went to this restaurant to eat some local fish. We started but with the appetizers they were good, then we took the first courses, a lightly seasoned fish dish, then
It was cold, the fish looked like they had left it aside and then put some fish on top of the pasta, which was almost flavourless, my daughter had had spaghetti with Bolognese sauce but this too had no flavor at all. At least we ended with a fried calamari at least this one was good.. I was forgetting about it
Service by the waiters super attentive and fast,
But in the kitchen it doesn't work so they are very slow!! So if you have a lot of time to waste this is for you

What a pleasure to be welcomed by a smiling and professional team!
The Chef explains his cuisine with passion and gluttony, taking care to adapt to your language. The seasonal dishes are delicious, the cookings perfect, and the wine list holds very beautiful discoveries. Thank you 🙏

A few steps from the port there is this charming little restaurant with intimate rooms and spartan and colorful furnishings with an almost open kitchen. We didn't taste much but only a first course (Tagliatelle with wild fennel etc and a second course (octopus) which were proved to be quite good in substance and presentation. Excellent service and tidy and clean toilets.
Honest account. Advised.
