It was a long time that we wanted to try this restaurant, indeed tavern is a magical place seems to enter a house. The very kind owners welcome us with a big smile, there is no à la carte menu but this was anticipated on the phone, where food intolerances and allergies are required. The tavern is located in the historic center of Licata, inside a small alley (it is not visible or signposted and this is a shame). The place is very intimate, there are few sessions and to welcome you there is a very kind lady who with love and great care will explain the entire tasting process to you. The dishes were one better than the other, but in my opinion the best were his "cappuccino" (I won't describe the dish so I don't ruin the surprise) and his dessert which would be an understatement to explain. If you are in Licata or in the surrounding area you absolutely must go there, first because the chef deserves it and secondly because the professionalism here is accompanied by a good dose of kindness and affability (and this is not for everyone).

We discovered this restaurant during our holiday in 2022. Since our first visit, this one keeps surprising us. Last night, during our third visit, we were able to rediscover the highlighting of local products, expertly crafted and cooked by chef Peppe Bonsignore.

If I had to choose two, they are certainly the service, which thanks to Chiara's kindness and simplicity has reached very high peaks, and the food, which thanks to chef Giuseppe's attention to detail and creativity has truly left its mark. We went with friends the meat dishes were amazing but the egg with white truffle was the dish that we will not forget easily, an applause to Chiara for the excellent advice on reds we drank. Last night my family and I of 5 adults dined at Sacrestano. The name Sacrestano is perfect as the food was a truly spiritual experience! We had the six course menu and each dish was truly excellent. The chef and his wife clearly take great care in preparing their own magnificent take on each delicious dish- fish, octopus, pasta, zucchini soup, a deconstructed bruschetta, eggplant parmigiana arancini, figs with honey and sugar and sweetened ricotta over strawberry soup with magnificent pistachio and almond crumble! Yes, divine! Plus, the chef and his wife are truly great hosts and very warm and congenial. Please go. You will have a truly great dining experience!

We tried to have lunch in that osteria last Saturday. According to travelguides and the sign on the left side of the entrance the osteria is open on Saturdays for lunch.
After ringing the bell, the owner showed up very upset and pointed out that the restaurant was closed. He rejected us in a very unpolite and unprofessional manner.
