We came on Monday night and as it was exceptionally busy we were very glad we had booked ahead.My husband had Cannelloni and he thought he’d died and gone to heaven – it was amazing and transported him back to special times in Italy. I had the Gnocchi which was also fantastic. The very well priced Pinot Grigio we chose was a perfect match for our pasta dishes and overall we thought the prices were very good value.
This is a very authentic Italian restaurant and the menu was extensive (including several veal dishes).
The very attentive staff rounded our experience out to being memorable and exceptional. We will be back soon.

I am madly in love with the food and service here. All meals are great value for money - massive serves at a great price. We often share a main and add the courgette salad and vege sides. The cassata is a beautiful way to end. Excellent options for vegetarians and they are also happy to make changes if required. The owners give so much to ensure that everybody enjoys their meal. A good idea to book as this place is popular!

Our first night in NZ and we were very impressed with the food and service. Had the NZ Sweet Lip Mussels in thyme/chilli/tomato/lemon dressing - we got the large serving & it was very generous. Also had the gnocchi with pumpkin, chicken & Walnuts & it was also amazing 😉 The owner is super friendly & welcoming,, would definitely recommend.

What an amazing find! We wanted to celebrate a friend's birthday in style and this restaurant was perfect in every respect. The welcome was warm, the service was friendly and attentive without being overboard and gushy and the staff were wonderfully personable. Our terrific evening was relaxed and extremely enjoyable. The drinks and food orders were taken efficiently and everything arrived without any undue delay whatsoever. The food selection was superb and so was the food itself. My wife's lasagne scored ten out of ten and my fillet steak with mushrooms and accompanying vegetables scored even higher. Without exaggeration, one of the very best I've ever had - perfection on a plate. If was big as well and defined my idea of medium rare. No one could order from the dessert menu - the mains were so generously proportioned. Super Svetlana completed this wonderful dining experience with ex gratia liqueurs for the birthday boy. We'll be back! Often!

Some of the best Italian food I’ve eaten, the garlic bread dipped in there beautiful calamari Rossi was the best way to sober up from the beautiful full bodied Chianti the waiter recommended. Me and my family drove from Auckland city because a family friend had recommended this hidden gem of a restaurant so we made a few hours of the experience. It’s located in a beach town 40 minute drive from the city. Well worth the drive and the drive is nice so it adds to the experience. Couldn’t fault the restaurant if I tried and highly recommend it but book in because they’re usually at full capacity.

Came here with a couple friends after spending the day at the beach. They both got steak and I got the beef cheek. We were very impressed by the quality of the food, the servings were very generous and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Also definitely recommend the desserts! Service was friendly and efficient. Will come back if I'm in the area again.

This place is really great, very attentive service, lovely owner and the food excellent. We had a variety of meals, both pastas and pizzas well executed and presentation of main dishes lovely.

We were last here in March and couldn't wait to come again. It is easy to see why they are always busy, simply because they are so good at what they do. Their service and food quality is second to none with a hive of wait staff attending to your every need. I said it before and I'll say it again, this is a very authentic Italian restaurant and the menu is very extensive (including several veal dishes).
This has become our HAPPY place! Highly recommended but bookings essential.

We live nearby and have eaten here a few times. The food is delicious and authentic. Service is excellent even though they get quite busy at times. Our granddaughter is Gluten free and she is well catered for with options on the menu. Its nice to have a relaxing atmosphere combined with such efficiency and moderately priced.

Outstanding Service and Food!
We have been to Due Amici many times and we enjoy the scrumptious cuisine and the friendliness of the staff. They go hand in hand in making this restaurant one of our favourites.
Today I finally write a review that I should have written years ago. Today like any other day they were so accomodating even when they were fully booked out for Father’s Day.
I had prompt email communication during the day. I was able to pre order for an early pick up and we are so grateful to have had a delicious Father’s Day dinner. Thank you so much for being a restaurant we all love in Manly.
We all recommend Due Amici and from tonight’s dinner my father n law commented on how generous the toppings were on his favourite pizza. My mother n law always orders the risotto and we love the pasta and the pizza.

We have eaten at Due Amici several times now and each time we've walked away saying how happy we are to have such an amazing restaurant nearby. Most recently we went for my wife's birthday, at her request. We've tried several things on the menu and enjoyed them all. My personal favourite is the Linguine Due Amici. On the last visit, my wife had the Linguine con gamberi and we loved that, too. The service is also friendly and efficient. I look forward to my next meal there.

We loved this place so much that we had dinner there 3 times over 10 days. The steak on the bone I have had 3 times (pictured) and as a steak lover this is a 10 out of 10. You have to book because it’s packed every night. The owners are genuine friendly, professional and the staff are imitations. Great vibe, great food and great people

Been to this italian restaurant a couple of times now and does not disappoint. Service is impeccable and food wonderful. Each time I have been it has been for a celebration of some sort and we have been fussed over and had a wonderful surprise of a Limoncello shot following the end of our dinner - which was really a nice touch. Atmosphere is lively & fun..dining area a little small for larger groups but they definitely go out of their way to accommodate where they can.

Four of us went last night, it was very busy BUZZING but the staff are amazing & so so helpful. The aromas that hit you as you walk in are scrumptious. I had the chicken & risotto dish WOW, perfection. The steak is consistently amazing & we tried steamed mussels....very tasty. A real little gem of a restaurant. Thank you :-)

We were staying at the beautiful big Manly Beach and thinking we would need to travel a bit for a good bite. Fortunately we stopped off to check out Due Amici and were soon convinced that the short walk from our accommodation would be rewarding . We had a delightful evening with delicious authentic Italian fare with much joy from the Italian owners and their bubbly staff.
