Staff very friendly cakes and coffee very nice. This cafe is part of a tackle shop for all your needs for the big catch (Trout I mean) This area is famous for the keen angler . We visited in April not crowded at all and plenty of room to fish.

Brioche, chicken leek and bacon pie with an almond croissant to top it off! What an unexpected surprise.

I can't imagine how you'd find this place unless you were staying nearby like we were. It was a pleasant surprise to have good coffee and great food in Turangi, which is normally the domain of Burger King and Fish&Chips.

The home made tarts etc., were out of this world. I was sad to finish them. Great coffee as well, cannot recommend this cafe more.

tiny cafe of four tables at the back of a fishing gear shop. 3 breakfast options and 1 lunch on the blackboard, plus about 10 mains and 5 slices in the cabinet. delicious home pastry on the pies and sausage roll, deliciously tart plum-tart, nice almond croissant. reheated slowly instead of in a microwave, thus nice pastry, well done! a... Had lunch & coffee in what must be Turangi's Best Kept Secret. We were just so lucky to met a local that told us about "Creel". The coffee & lunch were "First Class". Everything is made on the premises & would recommend the Cafe 100% in it's a very walk from town-189 Taupahi Road.
