A real treat, everything is so tasty and I'm never disappointed. Only thing is the fresh squeezed juice and smoothies are a liiiiiiiittle pricy but rest assured they are very tasty. Very good for vegetarian and plant based options too
Sorry, I had a lunch here today and that wasn’t really good though. Nice plating, but meal? I had burritos and polenta truffle chips. Why polenta truffle? Where is some flavour? And burritos I would say too much components together make ugly taste.
Went over from Hamilton today just to have breakfast here. The morning glory breakfast was fantastic. My husband loves the kransky sausage.
They have a fab selection of different types of tea. I had Salvation tea which was fantastic. Highly recommend this place
My first visit to SixFortySix was a couple of weeks ago where I tried their Avo & Edamame smash.
The menu states; Avo & Edamame Smash, poached egg, kale, walnut dukkah, feta & toast.
I'm usually one to avoid kale due to bad restaurant experience...however, having a craving for Avo smash I took a shot ... and was certainly impressed!
The dish is deeeelish. Packing a punch of flavour, crunchy toast, crispy nibs of dukkah, perfectly poached egg, a (optional) smidge of butter, and matched perfectly with a side note of feta and lemon wedge.
On first impression I felt the cafe seemed dark, however with my eyes quickly adjusting to the lighting and greenery with well nourished plants I felt like I was in my own haven.
The staff are attentive, yet allow you to enjoy the place at your pace.
Well worth a visit... I'll certainly be back.More
The salted caramel slice was very yummy...could have offered to serve with cream or yoghurt though. The Arancini ball very nice...but needed a little more flavour...still very nice and good size. One of the waitresses walked quietly behind me with coffees after I ordered at...the till, I turned around and banged into her and the coffees spilled everywhere... I apologised and she rolled her eyes. I said 'i had no idea you were behind me'. Standard hospo practice would be to say 'just behind you' or 'coming through with coffees' rather than making it seem like the customers fault. The waitress continued on and just left the spilled coffee on the floor for someone to fall over on... not good and a definite need to focus more on training staff. Also not nice to literally see bum cheeks hanging out of young waitresses shorts... not classy for a really nice cafe. Overall I can see this is a lovely cafe with beautiful food and vert nice menu... this one experience was a little bit of a let down though.More
