Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The restaurant has several parts and as we went to wander in what we thought was a cosy restaurant area, we were quickly ushered into the much more basic area for the lunch meal. Menus have no English so I wanted the style where you wrap up your Vietnamese sausage and green vegetables but that got lost in translation and we ended up with a few variatons of Vietnamese fresh spring rolls cut into quarters accompanied by a peanut sauce and a basket of green salad vegetables. Very fresh but not that much taste. My Thai wife wanted something spicier so she got spicier wrapped meat and salad vegetables.
Service was pretty good and it as OK for a lunch meal. I see at night that they have entertainment upstairs and it might all be a lot livelier.

I was there every time when I visit Ubon or airport transit. The taste is very good and the service too.One things I suppose to be ameliorate is the bowl "stainless steel bowl" seem like a cheap restaurant. With the new set of the bowl maybe look better. Thanks.

We went for Michelins guide but far for it. We eat better Vietnamese food without any Michelin guide. Spring roll not as photos. Deep fried Crepe is far from what Vietnamese made. Strange crepe. Nem Nueng had little smell not sure if fresh or not. No appetite, not enjoy for the meal. Came out with half full. 3 dishes 420 not expensive but more disappointing.

We went to this restaurant by chance and we were very satisfied with our experience! Varied and delicious food. Many people from the city eat here. It seems to have a very good reputation. Vegetarians are welcome!

Indochine is a Vietnamese restaurant set in central Ubon Ratchathani. The Northeast of Thailand is, of course, close to Indochina and there is increasing influence evident in its food and culture.
Indochine is set in an attractive old wooden building. There is a pleasing 'old Siam' feeling to the building, photographs and decor. As for the food, it was very good for the most part, but dishes were quite small and I left this restaurant not feeling full. You should probably order a couple of extra dishes for your group, or you may leave unsatisfied.

I went with about 20 of us and really enjoyed the food. The menu is only in Thai so did make the non-Thai speakers hard to order but the food tasted fresh and delicious. The fried white baite was amazing and the shrimp wrapped in bamboo is a classic. The live singer is a nice touch but could do with less loud and maybe further away from the tables as it was hard to hear one another speak. It was also great value for money when the bill arrived.

Old rundown building. Many dishes are rock-hard and bland. Seems to be a mixture of Laotian and Vietnamese dishes. Old-style restaurant with live music and singing that attracts old or provincial local customers.

Four dishes. None available anywhere else in town. Bht 500. A big enterprise in three different premises utilising the same kitchen. Thursday lunch and despite counting over 100 diners, the service was great. Crispy rolls, creamy curried chicken, prawns to die for, kanom kog yuan, iced tea. Fresh herbs and sauces. Ambience is plastic-free authentic. Toilets are good.Parking not so good.

Went here for lunch on a Friday. Not too crowded. Excellent Vietnamese food for great price - ordered 4-5 dishes for a total cost of THB 600. Definitely recommended for Viet-Thai food if in Ubon.

We saw the reviews and decided to go to this restaurant for dinner. When we arrived using our GPS the names were only in Thai so we did not know this was the correct place. If you want European clients put the name in English.

A traditional old wooden building with authentic Vietnamese food. This long established restaurant has a calm, open plan wooden interior with a varied assortment of dishes to choose from on the menu.
Very casual and friendly with an endearing style to blen with the enjoyable dishes.
Well worth a visit.

This place is not perfect by any stretch - looks almost closed when you enter at street level. Go upstairs to a lovely old huge wooden room.
Waiting staff helpful with menu but then disinterested. Scruffily dressed too. Bangkok this is not!
But aah, the food! Another matter entirely. Our meal was wonderful. Banana blossom salad like you never tasted, crispy pancakes with pork and prawn with a lovely dipping sauce and mixed salad with deep fried soft shell crab with a delightful lemony sauce. First class by any standards.
With good service this restaurant would be worth scoring 5 or more!
