The Terriyaki Chicken Don was so good. The steamed rice is the point and they did a very good job. Must try.

We stopped here for lunch recently - lunch with a spectacular view! The food was delicious, we had chicken katsu and teriyaki salmon. Also enjoyed the chocolate fondant for dessert - quite unique!! Definitely will return next time we are in Tekapo!
Our Japanese friend in Queenstown recommended going to Kohan for Salmon don and salmon sushi because salmon is the only thing produced in Tekapo. So we had both salmon don and salmon sushi there. The salmon was fresh and tasty. It's worth going.
