Food was delicious, staff very friendly, view spectacular - would recommend for families looking for a quick lunch time bite.

This was our first experience at the Jack Rabbit, and a good one at that! After checking out from The Godley hotel, we visited the Jack Rabbit for breakfast. I had Classic eggs (fried) on toast and a side of hash browns. 2 other members...of my family shared a basil pesto scone, which was large and delicious. I would specifically like to mention the young chef who clarified that they have two separate oil baths / friers - one for frying vegetarian items (such as hash browns) and the other for meat items. This is an excellent practice and very comforting. The girl at the counter had said they used vegetable oil but had a common frier - something which was corrected by the chef, thankfully! Popped in on our way out of Tekapo for breakfast. The staff were mostly friendly (one seemed like she may be having an off day but no biggie). The coffee was well made and the food came out quick. Only let down was for the...eggs bene that the poached eggs were not consistent (one was well overdone and the other not far behind) so was a little disappointed with that, the rest of the meal was good. I would give them another chance if I was passing through again and hope that it was just an off day.More

The only good thing there was the coffee, but I didn't get it before having to convince the stuff to do it the way I asked for. We also asked for a.toasted cheese scone that came only heated because they "don't have" a toaser, however...we had ordered two TOASTED sandwiches! It was a quite disappointing experience!More

Best location in lake Tekapo. Nice cabinet food. Friendly service. They really need to open at night as there’s a desperate need of places to eat and these guys have got the best premises and location to cope with night bookings

Called in for morning tea and enjoyed the best long black coffees we have had so far in 2 weeks on our South Island holiday. Went back for a late lunch and enjoyed that too - reasonable prices, friendly staff and beautiful views

One of the first restaurangt you find when entering Lake Tekapo therefore one of the best located to admire the stunning views. We went there to havde breakfast and it was an excellent decision. A complete menu with several options, all delicious and reasonably priced....Due to the good weather, we sat down in its spacious terrace, with Lake Tekapo just in front of us. We had bacon and eggs, these were superbly cooked and presented. Huge amount of bacon. Eggs bene had 3 eggs. Very well priced. Staff friendly and helpful. Best eggs and bacon ever.

Really nice coffee and friendly reception. Much more pleasant location than some of the others and more difficult to find, but, with views of the lake, worth making the effort.

What a fantastic lunch. We had burgers (vege and beef) and chips...YUM! Perfect spot for lunch and amazing service. Our South American server was so lovely. I highly recommend this spot. That view!!
