Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing little cafe in Lyttelton that serves the most delicious coffee and sweet treats. The cute little quirky gift shop they have there also has some fun stuff to buy.

Drop in here most weekends. The coffee in Lyttelton is pretty good and spooky boogie is the best in town. That makes it the “best of the best” in my opinion ( ok I’m probably a biased local)

Such a nice place to visit for coffee. Nicely brewed with lovely staff. Easy to sit a while to relax and read the morning coffee. Often a crummy pastry or cake to buy. A favourite.

Not only does this place have the best coffee in Lyttelton, they also have the most affable staff. Set in some of the older shops in town, Spookie Boogie a quirky shop and cafe. On a nice day I would recommend going outside and up...the stairs to the hidden garden.More

Groovy, cool, great music - this place is a gem. Staff have been very welcoming, fun and friendly. They have a small shop with some great knick knack gifts. Could be the place where you will see the funkster, hipster, ultra cool peeps. You wont...find cutesy old school Lyttelton here, this embraces something much more contemporary and their coffee is really great. Really great. A fresh interior, small and completely got their own vibe that you feel when you walk in the door.More

Come to Spookies for great coffee, cool gifts and interesting vinyl. Admire Oscar's art, drink Tessa's delicious coffee and buy some crazy socks or a patch for your jeans! Life is good in Lyttelton and Spookies reflects the artistic, quirky style of the port.
