The place was a bit old/run down. Pictures definitely look nicer. The food was fine but not great and more on the heavy side. I had nigh expectations going there based on the reviews and I was not very impressed. I will no go there...again.More

Served poolside at Blue Horizons Garden Resort, the succinct menu has a selection of proteins with Caribbean flavors – fish, chicken, pork, steak, lobster and shrimp. Starters included shrimp and chicken choices as well as a 3 kinds of soups - pumpkin ginger, local greens...and okra. We started with the shrimp on sugar cane skewers and the soup made from local greens. Both were tasty. The shrimp was fresh and cooked to order, served with a peanut sauce. The dark rich soup was flavorful with just enough heat as too not overpower the vegetable flavors. For mains we each ordered a catch of the day. The choices were tuna, dorade or swordfish. We tried the tuna and dorade. The fish was fresh and well cooked, plated on a breadfruit fritter and served with a passion fruit sauce and a side of vegetables including squash and green beans. The vegetables, however, were soft and overdone for my tastes. Service was friendly and efficient, though the food out of the kitchen was on the slow side even though just two other tables were occupied.More

I only had one meal here during my stay but wished I visited more. The food was really fantastic. Lovely spices, well prepared and beautifully presented. The restaurant offers a great atmosphere with a beautiful view. This restaurant is situated at the Blue Horizons Garden...Resort but it is open to anyone and really is worth checking out.More

We are staying at the Cinnamon Mount, where we've been eating a number of times, but after been deeply disappointed three times we needed to try something else. So we booked a table at the "Belle Creole" yesterday evening. We had a memorable and very...pleasant evening. The food was excellent, very tasty, cooked to perfection with the right amount of spices, large portions as well. We started with a quiche with goat cheese and spinach plus the crab cake with mango (the best I've had ever). For a main course Pia had the barracuda while I chose the lamb shank. Once again the taste was great, beautifully served. The service was perfect and warm (welcoming). I ended up having an amazing coconut ice cream. We had a couple of coktaiks as well, that were equally nice. By the end if evening, the owner came to welcome us, a very pleasant touch. Surely we will be there very soon again!More

I had the blackened fish and my kids and wife had various other dishes. Nobody was disappointed. Prices at these Grand Anse beach area hotels tend to be pricey, but this was on the lower end of that, and the food was on the upper...end of quality.More

This was our second stay at Blue Horizon. We ate at La Belle Creole twice for dinner. Both times the service was exceptional. The staff was welcoming, warm and efficient. In fact we included them in one of our friends Birthday party. The food was...interesting and delicious. The shrimp, scallops and fish dishes were perfectly cooked with an innovative blend of spices. Even The surf and turf is worth the trip. The ambiance and open window views were lush and picture worthy. Songbirds this gem for an upscale, white tablecloths meal. Note, the restaurant is up a couple of flights of stairs through lovely gardens. We did not ask about an elevator or other access.More

Decided to venture out of our resort and had read great reviews of La Belle Creole online & in guidebooks... the location is great, lovely gardens to look over and in daylight you would see all the way to St George’s. There was a really...friendly welcome both at the resort and in the restaurant. You need to quickly get used to Grenadian time in terms of service speed, especially with cocktails (which take forever) but the waitress was friendly. The food was really good, especially the unique beetroot gazpacho, but would only recommend this restaurant with a very strong BUT.... As it all got a bit strange at the end. We advised the waitress that we didn’t want dessert, asked for the bill and for a taxi to be called. Well, that was the last we saw of her (well, almost). A man, who we hadn’t seen before brought the bill and after much faffing eventually gave us the amount in US $, which we paid in cash. As he took it away our waitress ran at him to snatch it and checked what was in it. I don’t know whether she wanted to check that we had paid or what tip we had left her. We then stood and asked if our taxi would meet us outside & a yes was thrown at us from another staff member. No goodbye, no your welcome to our thank you’s, no thank you’s for our tip, nothing. We left feeling like once they had our money, we were irrelevant and unwanted. Strange.More

We had been driving by this resort all week and finally decided to try it. Perfect place for our last night in Grenada. It is a charming dining room with a fabulous view. A very romantic spot. The food was excellent and beautifully plated. The...chilled beet coconut soup was fabulous, I enjoyed the vegetarian entree very much and my daughter loved the lamb shank. The servers were friendly and efficient. Although it was dark we could still appreciate the lovely grounds of the hotel.More

Our first visit a few years ago was memorable for the appalling and typically Caribbean surly service. We decided now to give them a second chance and are glad we did. This restaurant seems to be primarily frequented by resort guests, but outside diners are...welcome and it's worth a detour. Friendly service and really excellent food. Well done to the chef, but also to the management for somehow finding local staff who actually look like they want to be there, and who have been trained to smile, even when apologising for a delay. It makes such a refreshing change from the normally apalling standard of service in the Caribbean. A lovely meal, well prepared, well presented and served by nice people. We will return.More

We celebrated our twentieth wedding anniversary dinner here. The service is outstanding and the food is probably the best local cuisine I have had in all twenty visits to Grenada - we come every year since we were married in St. George's. It is probably...our biggest splurge on a meal but that is why we save it for celebration. The drinks are also good, but you really want to save room for the food - you'll want to try everything and whatever you choose you will be happy. Don't allow yourself to want to hurry the meal, you need time to enjoy and savor. This is dining.More

We walked here from the Allamanda hotel and boy was it worth it. Once you get to the property it is a bit confusing as to which building is the restaurant. Signage at the steps going up would be helpful. Thankfully someone from the bar...showed us where to go. You ascend quite a few steps up so anyone with mobility issues would have a problem getting to the restaurant but the views are fantastic. We were welcomed by name at the door because I had made a reservation which is a really nice touch. Our table had a great view and a lovely cooling breeze. The servers are fantastic here with just the right amount of attention given. We also love Monika's sense of humor. We tried a few of their cocktails and found them to be delicious. We started with the souffle. We have never eaten souffle before so I have no comparison but we thought it was delicious, the tomato sauce served with it complimented the flavor well. I had the ginger shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the ginger sauce was really great with the shrimp. My husband had the catch of the day which was barracuda, grilled to perfection. I can't remember what the dessert was called but it was a pudding, very different but we enjoyed it. The owner came out to make sure everything was ok which is also a nice touch. Overall great service and food.More

We ate dinner here every night for a week as we were staying half board at the Blue Horizons, where the restaurant is located. Every meal was delicious and we were able to try a wide range of local produce. The waiting staff were delightful...and happy to explain what unfamiliar items were, including bringing us a whole ‘christophene’ from the kitchen so we could see what it looked like! Can’t fault it.More

La Belle Creole Restaurant is on the hillside within the lush and beautiful setting of the Blue Horizons Garden Resort. It has a wonderful view of Grand Anse Beach to the north. We had an early seating for six for dinner. There is a short...walk with some steps to enter the restaurant. Once inside the dining room, the space is bright and very inviting. There is a small bar off to one side, and the seating for dinner is along the windows to the other side. The ladies greeted us warmly, set us up with some information about the service, and provided an extensive menu of tropical drinks - with, or without alcohol. The food is prepared using local ingredients and is delicious! I tried items highlighted on the menu as specialties of the house. The callaloo souffle was light and savory. My entree of prawns was seasoned with ginger and spicy heat. Flavors in both dishes were balanced and well seasoned. Presentations were clean and elegant. Service was attentive and very helpful. Our family dinner experience at La Belle was relaxing and wonderful. The pacing of courses was perfect for conversation. This would be a great spot for a romantic dinner for two! I highly recommend La Belle Creole Restaurant. It was an outstanding dining experience - tops on our trip to Grenada.More
