Reasonable range of dishes

We went to dinner here as a family of adults. The meals were quite tasty and certainly gave us enough to eat, but there wasn't any wow to either the service, the menu or the meals we got. Medium quality for a quick eat at a reasonable cost.

Very average Thai food

Was a bit disappointed in the meals . Could only describe it as very average. Meals were good size but filled with oversize hunks of lemongrass which are not that great to bite on. Maybe if you a real Thai food fan you might find it ok but it did nothing to convert me. Service and location all good . Pity about the food

Tasty but tough

I ordered pork sweet and sour and although the flavour was lovely the vegetables were raw and just heated ( I like a la dente ) and the pork tough so I was disappointed. The staff were lovely and place really clean . May have just been a bad night as they were busy

Takeout disappointing

Went fir lunch but closed. Opens 5pm. Went back in evening for take out. Green curry was delicious $24.50 BUT didn't include the rice which was extra! Pad Tai was absolutely aweful. $23.50 we couldn't eat it. See photo

Avoid if you know what Thai food tastes like

I think this might be the worse Thai food I have eaten anywhere in the world. Dry chicken, soggy vegetables , sauces heavy on soy and devoid of the usual mix of herb and spice flavours normally associated with Thai cuisine. The server didn’t seem surprised when I politely described what was wrong with the food, and simply said he was sorry I didn’t enjoy it.

Disapointing and absolutely overpriced

I eat the sizling platter with Seefood, but I had to realice, that the most Seafoid was anywhere in Holiday and not in my Platter, only 2 tiny prawns, 2 Supermarket tiny Glass mussels and 4 small Rolls of Squid, last one cant be also white rubber. The more then plenty Vegetables was so extreme hard and this for $28. The amount was, if I really come again, that I have to order 2 of them. The Restaurants have hard times without Tourists, but to earn money in this way, definetely NO, not with me. Anything positiv to say, the souce and the taste was good.

Yummy & fresh!

Delicious. Fresh prawns. The ginger stir fry sauce was amazing. We eat thai at least once a week, this was really good. We had a side of black fungus thai mushrooms too and they were wonderful! Great portion sizes. We got the last order at 8.15pm on a Thursday as all the restaurants close at 9pm in wanaka, which is a shame. Nice wine list as well.

I had great experience every time I go to this restaurant. The waitress Letisha was very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Dishes has improved over time. Food was tasty and close to the thai dishes I have had back in Thailand. My favourite was The fish salad entree and clear tom yam soup. I will return to dine in. Delicious

Nice Thai but not cheap

We were late to dinner and looking for kid friendly options which weren’t very obvious to find. We had heard this place wasn’t great but saw a kids menu and didn’t want to walk around anymore. We ordered a sizzling plate and a curry which were both very good but a little skimpy on the meat and the prices were very high compared to other Thai places we have been.

Deliciously Light.

Lovely and relaxed ambience. Excellent service and delicious dishes. Everything was perfectly cooked, one thing my husband and I don’t like is over sauced food. The chef here has a deft hand in seasoning and flavoring the food without any extra tricks. The noodle soup was exactly what I wanted; hot tasty comforting and light. The pan fried shrimp was cooked to perfection and went well with the coconut rice.

Delicious fresh and good sized Thai

Amazing delicious meals and very good sizing couldn’t finish ours. We had satay chicken skewers as entree. Chicken fried rice and green curry, you do have to pay for rice seperately with the curries which was a bit strange but overall 5/5

Disappointing

We love Thai food so had high hopes after reading the menu on the door. Unfortunately things went from bad to worse once we were inside. The restaurant was too cold and we dined with our coats on. The waitress was really pleasant however I will give them that. The food took over an hour to arrive and was frankly average at best. The stir fry was soupy and I couldn’t finish it. The sweet and sour dish my friend ordered was also watery and the veges were raw. My daughter had the green curry and said that flavour was nice though. We didn’t realise we had to order rice seperate to the curries, in other restaurants meals have come with rice. This should have been made more obvious on ordering. Communication wasn’t great in general. The long wait time for food should have been explained at the start. We did hear a phone call where people who had ordered delivery were complaining their food hasn’t arrived yet so it wasn’t just us!! We wouldn’t bother going there again.

Wowww!!! So amazing Thai foods at Wanaka. Today me and my friend had our lunch there. We order Fried rice with pork and fresh spring roll with shrimp. Staff were friendly. I feeling, I stay in Thailand 🇹🇭 I miss home now. And after that, we oder the dinner for our family. So delicious. Thanks so much . We are happy. Highly recommended!!! If u come to Wanaka, pls trying Thai foods here “ Thai Siam Wānaka “

Delicious and fresh

We were a little apprehensive about coming here because the restaurant didn’t appear to have the best reviews overall but we were so glad we ate here! The food was so Delicious and fresh and good value for money. It was the best Thai food we’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be back next time we’re staying in Wanaka.

Entrees were perfect for our meal!

Great Thai food! We decided to mix it up with a few entrees instead of mains. Ordered the mixed entrees, roti bread, lemon pepper calamari and satay chicken skewers. Absolutely yummo! The satay sauce for the chicken skewers was one of the best we've had! Highly recommend this place.
