As there were large groups of young people sitting outside enjoying the sun and a few beers/wines I thought to myself this won't be a nice place to eat but how wrong. We ordered the fish and falafel tacos and so very fresh, filling and tasty and at a good price too. Only drawback was the cigarette smoke but was bearable.

Once you battle your way through the happy hour drinkers the bar has tables away from the noise. The staff were busy so we had to ask them about service but once sorted we were good.
The menu isn’t huge but has some interesting options, crispy skin salmon cooked perfectly on lightly spiced cous cous and a sweet mango sauce that tasted amazing. The beef brisket salad bowl, meat was melt in the mouth and the salad crisp and fresh.
The meals made up for an awkward start but glad we stuck in there!

We are here whilst the super bowl was playing and it was a great atmosphere. Not many people actually paid attention to it (neither did we!) but it was nice for it to be so lively. The staff were all so lovely and when the food came out in a timely manner it was very tasty. Only downside the flat bread was extremely salty, but other than that, very good effort!

We are travelling as a large group of 8 with a baby, a toddler and a teenager and expect a few deep breaths on entry to a restaurant - none of that here. The large tables were already reserved (keep that in mind, you may want to replicate) but we were still provided with several options and selected a couple of booths. The choices pleased everybody as did the food. Tasty and filling. Great family restaurant that will appeal to younger travellers as well with large outside area to enjoy lakes and wines.
They even had a stock of games and colouring books for our youngest members

We were looking for somewhere to eat along the lakefront in Wanaka for our last night in NZ and had a great time here. We combined the $20 steak deal with happy hour drinks and had a really cheap but yummy meal. They had a great selection of wines and beers, and the staff were great. We also enjoyed playing pool afterwards.

If Weatherspoons UK is your pleasure then this your destiny, but with high prices.
Food is basic but small portions, service is basic (food arrived before cocktails, and had to chase drinks).
View was great, but it really is a cheap establishment with high prices.

After a big day travelling we were all pretty hangry, we were served quick and the meals arrived fast too. Great steak for $20 and the kids loved the build your own tacos. Nice to have options other than fish and nuggets

We walked past here on a Thursday night and say that they had 200g sirloin steaks for 25 dollars as a Thursday night deal. We went for this and I have to say that both our steaks were delicious and cooked just how we had asked. A really good meal and really great value. Staff were great as well

Sadly we had terrible service, the burger we ordered were dry and the pizza cold with hardly any toppings. We waited an hour plus fir our food and the table we say at weren't cleared from the previous clients. My husband had to go and fetch our food.
Overall a terrible experience.

We had planned to go to another restaurant highly recommended by trip advisor but couldn’t get in. This place has a gazillion beers on tap and such fast and friendly service. The menu has got great variety. I can recommend the pumpkin and feta salad which I added chicken too.... just delicious. Great food great value how could you go wrong

Oh hell, met some mates here who are locals and set right down to business of catching up for a feed and a drink. Well that didnt last long, the months of not interacting were soon forgotten as the beer and wine flowed more freely than an avalanche on the side of Mt Aspiring. Yes we ate, but what we actually consumed I can not reflect back on, it could've been cat or it could've been aged old steak, I have no idea.
The next day our heads hurt and so did the bank account.

Been meaning to write a review for a while about the CLASSIC cheeseburger at waterbar 🍔 I'm literally obsessed with this burger and have not gone a week without getting my fix since it was put on the menu over a year ago. It's always on point ...I refer to it as a Mc Donald's cheeseburger on steroids.. but made out of fresh ingredients so much much better.I give it 5 stars everytime.
And the bar service ain't to shabby either!! 5 stars all round at waterbar !

I had the slow cooked brisket burger and chips, but the burger was disappointing. Brisket was very tasty, but too small slices in a large bun meant i was eating plain bun half rhe time. Chips were good, reasonably priced, good service and nice location.

Did Roy’s peak track in the morning and were excited to get a pub meal. Went to water bar for lunch to get two meals and two cokes. Walked inside and the waitress asked me for my ID, I only had my Australian drivers licence which she wouldn’t accept as it needed to be a passport. Was told I wasn’t allowed to be on the premises without ID. I am 28 years old and my fiancé who I was there with is 30 years old and we were not buying any alcohol. The place was empty at 1:30pm. Absolutely ridiculous and a great way to lose customers, went to the bar next door.

We came in on a very busy Friday night. Expected a bit of a wait on food and drinks but there were none! Great fast and friendly staff. Went the extra mile to help us with menu options ( husband has food intolerances)
The food was absolutely amazing 10/10 thanks guys.
