I know nothing about Asian fusion menus so plumped for the chef’s choice set menu at $75 (£37:50) which was absolutely delicious! All the dishes were very tasty - especially the vegetarian options (the eggplant and the potato dishes). Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and accompanying drinks!

Wow. The flavors here just hit the spot for us! We had the eggplant (which our host recommended - quite rightly), tuna carpaccio, pork & prawn dumplings, duck wontons, pork belly yakitori, and the star of the night - BBQ oyster mushrooms (I'm still salivating over those!). Cocktails were strong and delicious. After having so much wine on our travels, it was nice to have a delicious Old Fashioned done well. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely return!

Recommended to us by someone as the best restaurant in Wanaka. All the dishes were wonderfully flavoured and beautifully presented and certainly deserve high praise. Where it loses one star from us is perhaps they are over-flavoured, or put another way, every dish seemed to be competing rather than complementing each other. That might have been down to our choice of dishes but we were guided by our server and went with their recommendations. Also the dishes all came out very quickly and there was barely a pause with another dish or two appearing before we had finished the first couple and so to be finish in under an hour felt a bit quick. Nonetheless it was a very enjoyable.

We had a private room upstairs with a group of 30 and had a wonderful dinner - food was expectant, service could not be better, and drinks (bar was upstairs also) were just what we needed!! Great place, highly recommneded!

The simple decor in this restaurant shouldn't fool you into thinking the food isn't next level! We loved our meal here with teenage children. Stand out dishes were the smoky mushrooms, salmon sashimi, crispy eggplant and pork & prawn dumplings. Apparently we should have also ordered the fried cauliflower! Maybe next time. There were so many great choices with varied Asian influences. Loved it.

So we loved Fudog. My husband and I ate here both nights we were in the area because it was so good. We tried a ton of different dishes and liked them all. Cocktails are also really good.My hubby really loved the duck wontons, I loved the veggie dumplings. The cauliflower is delicious, as are the oyster mushrooms..and the kimchi..and the potatoes.. basically eat here, and you won't regret it. I'm already craving it again.

We dined here with 8 people. Lovely staff. Delicious food.
Plates came out one or two at a time, sometimes with quite an interval so it didn't feel like a meal - more like sporadic mouthfuls.
Amazing view and great vibe though.

Fudog is hidden away up an alley a couple of blocks back from the lake. I'd say it's east Asian food, with more Chinese dishes than anything else. We went for a simple meal of fried sesame-crusted tofu, and fried noodles with some greens, mushrooms and bean sprouts. The noodles in particular were delicious-a bit salty, and a bit of tangy heat too.

Tucked in the back and access through a small side lane, we found this restaurant. The reviews were mixed and we were a bit apprehensive but pleasantly surprise at the taste of the food. Petsonally I would prefer reduce a bit of the salt, oil and sugar. Prices are also mixed with regular item overpriced. Overall, still a good eat and have no regret coming here.

Gem of a restaurant tucked away at the back of the shops in downtown Wanaka. Excellent, high-quality Asian fusion food. Best meal I've had travelling around NZ in the past month :) A twist on classic dishes made with fresh ingredients. Great service.
Located next to Federal Diner and Deli which are also great eating places.

Went for dinner and was fully booked, but the host handle to book a table for us after 8pm, we arrived and the stuff was super friendly and polite, we had drinks and few starters, dumplings & cauliflower fritters, both dishes were extremely well executed, for mains we had, beef, pork, and sides of Asian green, well what can I said, every mouthful of every dish was full and packed of flavours, crazy and delicate combinations of textures & colours. The beef was superb, pork belly tender and rich, and the greens crispy and fresh.
Compliments to the Chef and the kitchen team for that great food and effort to make customers experience memorable.
Looking forward to come back soon

Not as cosy as some of the other restaurants we visited in Wanaka (no fireplace etc) but the food was really good. Tapas sharing style (my favorite). Eggplant dish probably my favorite but honestly everything we had was good and reasonably priced

Hopeless 😩
Ordered a couple of entree’s and they had identical sauces.
Mongolian beef stuck to the roof of ones mouth ( too much potato starch ) no freshness in this dish.
Market fish stated Tom yum Thai influenced, nonsense it needed a decent Thai sauce and fresh herbs to make it authentic.
I could go on but have a look at photo of the kitchen chefs ( both sat on their cellphones for a good deal of the time we were there). This will give you a gauge of what to expect.
Not worth spending a cent in this restaurant until the head chef invents some passion. ( for example you can’t even get fresh chilli in this restaurant).

Turned up without a reservation and reasonably busy night, no problems. We were personally welcomed by each staff member we passed on our way to our table. 10/10 for all wait staff. Nothing was too much effort, a lot of restaurant staff could learn something from this team. The meals were all very tasty and what we couldn't eat came home. Although a little on the dear side i probably would go back for the outstanding service.

There were so many interesting things to choose from - we were relieved to see a reasonably priced vegetarian tasting menu. Loved every course including spiced edamame, mushroom dumplings with black garlic sauce, lighltly fried cauliflour with a citrus sauce, eggplant, ma po tofu (in great mushroom sauce), and a salad. Dessert was very good - ice cream, rhubarb, and a cookie sandwich (there was some sort of citrusy salt on the cookies that made them really excellent).
The house made chili oil on the table had great flavor and was not crazy spicy.
Very generous portions - would have taken home leftovers if we were not in a hotel.
