Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just delicious - great range of sweet treats and savouries. Yes there will be a queue, but that’s because the baking is fabulous. The lamination on the fruit danish was gorgeous - crisp and sweet. And our feta and spinach roll was yummy too. Worth...making the trip out of Wanaka for!More

Danishes are out of this world and coffee was top notch. Regret that I was only doing a takeaway run as it was a warm and friendly cafe and looked good for a sit down meal!

We are staying nearby and have enjoyed their pastries daily. The cheeseburger meatpie was delicious as was the lamb with Indian spices. The bread and rolls are wonderful. This is a wonderful place.

The coffee was so good, we had 2. We also splurged on a vanilla slice (custard square) and almond croissant. Both were lovely and fresh.

Amazing fresh baked muffins, buns etc. Add great lattes and cappucinos and you’ve got the perfect quick and delicious quick breakfast. We returned a second time.

Beautiful baked goods, worth a bit of a drive from Wanaka itself. We shared a spinach & feta roll which was delicious, followed by a custard square that was sublime. Crispy layers of compressed pastry, firm but creamy custard and passion fruit topping that I...might dream about for a while. I reckon hubby was disappointed he didn't get to have the whole thing to himself - such is life... next time we can (no, WILL) go big!More

It's well worth the short drive out of Wanaka for the amazing pastries and decent coffee. The only drawback is that word has got around, and you'll have to queue for about 10 minutes, then wait again, but it's worth it. They have a decent...range of pies, but the stand out here are the cakes and pastries - easily the best anywhere in the Queenstown/Wanaka region.More

This is a brilliant patisserie, amazing food and great quality. At the half way point of a lake/river-side cycle so perfect for lunch. Closes at 2pm so left with limited selection, but this was still more than adequate. Highly recommend for your lunch when cycling

Immensely popular with locals and cyclists so expect queues and a wait. They haven’t done much with indoor and outdoor area in terms of seating areas. Pastries good, pie actually in my opinion not as good as others in Wanaka but a personal opinion. my...children love this place.More

Went there for a quick breakfast and was greatly impressed. Beautiful place with really good food. I had the Spinach and Feta Roll, and tried the Ham and Cheese Croissant and a Vegetable Pie. All of them were delicious. I also had a Cappuccino which...was really good. Didn't have any of the sweets, but they looked really good. If there again, I will make sure to try the eclairs of the Lemon Merengue Pies. Great selection for a quick breakfast, snack or coffee break.More

A friend had recommended we come here for breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. We had coffee and fruit danishes for breakfast but then also each took away and afternoon tea treat. Very busy but staff have a great system worked out so everyone is served...quickly. Beautifully presented pastries that wouldn’t be out of place in Paris.More

We are locals and visit this Cafe occasionally. Today we noticed a huge price increase. Especially in the French pastry, we felt $10 was excessive, especially as 90% was cold hard pastry. We also noticed all 11am there were not the usual numbers of customers.

Simply the best Pain Au Raisin around. Great coffee and cabinet food baked on site. In Albert Town (not downtown Wanaka) very busy, sleays a good sign. Trés bien.

We were wanting to grab some food from here before heading up Treble Cone but noticed that it was a drive (about 7 minutes) away from the town center. We decided to try it anyway but just had to leave earlier. I was glad we...did end up going because the food was amazing. The shop isn't very big but does have indoor and outdoor seating areas. They had specials too. With so many things to choose from, I opted for 1 savoury item, 1 sweet item and a doughnut. I ended up getting the jalapeno and cheese croissant, The Paris Brest, the mandarin gel doughnut and a canele. I had the croissant in the car when it was still hot and it was delicious. The flakey croissant was filled with cheese and pickled jalapenos. I was just a bit disappointed that it wasn't very spicy but that could have been due to the large amount of cheese inside. The canele was so easy to eat as was the Paris Brest. I enjoyed the flavour of the mandarin doughnut but the texture was interesting, since it was almost granular but still soft. The doughnut itself was also quite soft and pillowy. I also did try the vanilla cream doughnut and that was quite nice. It is unsurprising that it was kinda busy so early in the morning. If you have a car it is worth the drive to grab something here. With the tables and a large amount of food on offer, it is a nice spot for breakfast or lunch.More
